SILY 703- Found

September 22, 2004 is a date will always live in infamy. It’s the day that set off a chain of events, a long, winding, beautifully unpredictable thread, that eventually led both you and me to this very moment right now. To this podcast. To this community. To each other. It was a day for which I will always be grateful.

TSTP 94- The Suspect

A new piece of the puzzle lands in the Hawkins Investigators Club’s hands, and the team fractures into three directions with one goal in mind: find something that explains what is happening in Hawkins before the next escalation turns into a full disaster.

SILY 702- System Failure

Today I’m sharing something I’ve never talked about publicly. It’s a story I almost waited to tell, because honestly, we’re still in the middle of it. But I’ve come to believe that sometimes the most valuable lessons aren’t the ones you share from the other side of the mountain. They’re the ones you share from the climb.

TSTP 93- The Party

Two terrifying creatures just crashed Dustin’s solo run to the Food Mart, Eleven goes out on a limb to save him, and the gang goes underground to celebrate Nikki’s birthday.

S5E8 Five-Twenty-Ten

We are joined by Ynza for this episode of the podcast as we discuss this awesome episode of Fringe! We enthusiastically share excitement about Blair Brown being back in full force in this episode as well as how great Josh Jackson’s performance is playing a new version of Peter.

SILY 701- Hands of a Father

I want to tell you about a pair of hands. Hands that could lay a straight line of carpet across a living room floor, split a cord of firewood without breaking a sweat, or coax a stubborn CV joint back into place with nothing but basic tools and a whole lot of patience. Those were my dad’s hands.

Mind Your Business

Mind Your Business

The power of the human mind is perhaps often underestimated, but it’s certainly capable of much more once it enters the Twilight Zone. Season 2 of Rod Serling’s masterpiece gave us two excellent examples. Episode 16 features Dick York in, “A Penny for Your Thoughts” and episode 27 showcases Shelley Berman in, “The Mind and the Matter.” Both of these light-hearted episodes had us cracking up and enjoying our trip to the Twilight Zone!

S1E11 Bound

S1E11 Bound

You are bound to enjoy our discussion of this high-octane episode of Fringe! Although we both agree that the cliffhanger from the last episode is wrapped up a bit too early here and that the exposition is a bit too heavy-handed, this episode moves at anything but a sluggish pace and left us with plenty of new questions when it first aired thirteen years ago. What was ZFT trying to accomplish by killing immunologists with this super-sized slug (which apparently wasn’t actually a cold virus according to Walter’s lab notes)? Why did they abduct Olivia? What was the spinal tap for? We were definitely like a question machine!

Best Disney Movie of 2004

Best Disney Movie of 2004

Colby is celebrating his 18th birthday, so he and Darrell are debating which Disney movie is the best from the year of his birth, 2004! As Bryce mentioned last week, 2004 wasn’t a particularly strong year for Disney movies, BUT there are a few standouts! We’ve chosen The Incredibles and National Treasure to go head to head.  Colby will argue for The Incredibles and against National Treasure, while Darrell will argue for National Treasure and against The Incredibles.

Disney Special Ticketed Events

Disney Special Ticketed Events

All Disney parks require tickets to enter, however did you know that there are many special events that require a ticket to gain entrance? Halloween and Christmas events come to the front of your mind, but Disney holds special events all year. Bryce and David discuss their favorite special ticketed events they have attended as well as talk about all the events they would love to see in person. Join them for a special discussion about these events…..no ticket required.
