SILY 703- Found

September 22, 2004 is a date will always live in infamy. It’s the day that set off a chain of events, a long, winding, beautifully unpredictable thread, that eventually led both you and me to this very moment right now. To this podcast. To this community. To each other. It was a day for which I will always be grateful.

TSTP 94- The Suspect

A new piece of the puzzle lands in the Hawkins Investigators Club’s hands, and the team fractures into three directions with one goal in mind: find something that explains what is happening in Hawkins before the next escalation turns into a full disaster.

SILY 702- System Failure

Today I’m sharing something I’ve never talked about publicly. It’s a story I almost waited to tell, because honestly, we’re still in the middle of it. But I’ve come to believe that sometimes the most valuable lessons aren’t the ones you share from the other side of the mountain. They’re the ones you share from the climb.

TSTP 93- The Party

Two terrifying creatures just crashed Dustin’s solo run to the Food Mart, Eleven goes out on a limb to save him, and the gang goes underground to celebrate Nikki’s birthday.

S5E8 Five-Twenty-Ten

We are joined by Ynza for this episode of the podcast as we discuss this awesome episode of Fringe! We enthusiastically share excitement about Blair Brown being back in full force in this episode as well as how great Josh Jackson’s performance is playing a new version of Peter.

SILY 701- Hands of a Father

I want to tell you about a pair of hands. Hands that could lay a straight line of carpet across a living room floor, split a cord of firewood without breaking a sweat, or coax a stubborn CV joint back into place with nothing but basic tools and a whole lot of patience. Those were my dad’s hands.

S1E17 Bad Dreams

Imagine having a nightmare in which you murder someone only to wake up and discover that it really happened… or did it? Dreams aren’t always literal, after all. Join us as we discuss one of the best episodes of Fringe’s first season, the second episode of the show that dives into Olivia’s past as a Cortexiphan subject. We discuss our thoughts about the connection that Olivia shares with Nick Lane as well as the connection that she shares with Peter of which Walter seems to be somewhat aware, how much of this episode we remembered since the last time that we watched it, the big reveal at the very end of the episode, and so much more!

Best Casual Restaurants at Disneyland

Best Casual Restaurants at Disneyland

Over time, Disney has changed the way we look at theme park food. They offer varied and well-crafted options, with a range of dishes that are prepared with care and attention to detail. They put quality higher on the list than other parks, making the experience more pleasant. Most of the time a Disney restaurant will offer different dietary preferences and allergies. Those efforts have made Disney different from their competition.

What to Expect From Disney in 2023

What to Expect From Disney in 2023

With the new year finally beginning, we have a lot to look forward to from Disney, but Disney is constantly releasing new stuff, and a lot of it, so how can you be sure what noteworthy content is coming? Well, that’s exactly what this episode is for. This week, Blake & JJ tackle everything noteworthy coming from Disney in 2023, from anniversary celebrations and new park attractions, to new movies and shows.

Big Talkers

Big Talkers

The world is full of big talkers, and not even the Twilight Zone can escape them. In season 2 Rod Serling wrote “The Silence” about two rich men who square off in an expensive bet, just so one of the men can be freed from the incessant talking of the other. In season 3 the Zone served up “Hocus-Pocus and Frisby,” a story about a country bumpkin that can spin yarns unlike anyone else. He’s abducted by aliens and is able to escape using his harmonica, but the townsfolk believe his story is just another of his exaggerated tales.

S1E16 Unleashed

S1E16 Unleashed

Get ready as we unleash our discussion of this episode of Fringe! We both agree that, despite its dubious science, this is a decent stand-alone episode, and we, as always, think back to our thoughts when we first saw it and whether or not we feel any differently now. We talk a lot about the character development and growth that we see from Walter and discuss whether his heroic act at the end is truly heroic or just another display of hubris. We also share our thoughts on the little bit of Polivia development that we get here.
