We are both in agreement this week that this is our favorite episode of Debris so far! It offers so much high-octane excitement from start to finish, answering so many questions and also asking some new ones. We finally learn (or do we?) how George Jones is still alive and what Influx wanted with him, but we also now have to wonder what is going on with Brill’s face and why he seems to have a double. Has he been teleporting like Influx has been doing, causing his skin to deteriorate like what we saw happening to Loeb a few episodes ago? How are Finola and Bryan going to proceed now that they are apparently on the run from their superiors? We touch upon these and so many other points this week as we break down and review this phenomenal episode, and we cannot wait to see where the rest of the season is headed after this game-changing episode!

My gosh, there were tidbits of info literally from the moment this episode started. I still have my questions with respect to George actually being George but I did stop/start the entire sequence of him doing his foil bedspread and I did not see any trace of a watch on him so its possible of Finola still has that watch it too may be an important piece of the puzzle and why it was that she took it to begin with. Garcia certainly made George feel very uneasy and then hearing the ending radio transmissions of Garcia not being located by another Ortibal member in the field, but then exclaiming “Oh my God, Oh my God!” is certainly interesting to say the least. I totally agree that Maddox is aware of the piece that Influx is searching for that is game changing and that the Russians have it and he traded for it. It is a communication piece but what type of communication piece is it? Will it communicate with Dario? Is that why Maddox was so adverse to his wife wanting to move to Houston with Dario to try a new clinic, knowing he will soon have a piece of debris that is powerful enough to communicate with Dario who suffers the effects of a TBI and is left unable to communicate? Lasts week I thought Ferris might be part of Influx in trying to call Finola home using Dee Dee as a mark to bring her back, now I just think she was trying to get her and George back but that she is not aware of this game changing piece. I am concerned that if Ferris starts going through and getting the classified Lagarhi files won’t that trigger Orbital since he was one of theirs? Also is Orbital possibly listening or monitoring MI6’s calls, specifically Ferris to see if what Bryan told them about George not being there is accurate? Ferris did seem genuinely shocked that Maddox wanted George dead. As a side note when George was making his foil bedspread it brought back a situation I had not thought about in years. When I was going through nursing school, I also was a volunteer EMT for our local first aid squad. We were called to a residence for a medical call. When we arrived and went inside the house literally every window, every wall, every light socket/switch, etc., was covered in aluminum foil. I never had seen anything like it. The homeowner told us that she had to cover everything in the foil because then the “aliens could not communicate with her”. Interesting times…lol.
Anyway, love this series and with everything within the past year with covid, etc., I am particularly loving this show for the hour that it gives me per week where I don’t have to think about patients, scheduling, having adequate coverage, etc. I am hopeful that by July I will be able to take a vacation with my husband and we can celebrate our wedding anniversary. His name is Craig, mine Julia (Julie) but no he doesn’t work for the CIA.
