S4E15 A Short Story About Love

We hope that you have fearless… auditory passages (?) because we are here to share a short story about love along with frequent feedbacker Eric (or Eric from Pennsylvania as you’d prefer). This was such a fun episode to record especially since we love some aspects of this episode and not so much others. We love that we get some counterbalancing feedback from Geoff (xforce11) as well as some feedback from Rory, Anna (not Torv), Erin, ShelkyBean, and Patty from Canadia!

SILY 666- Old Testament Laws Explained

For most of us, reading the Old Testament is not fun. All of those names and laws are difficult to read and are the reason many who have tried reading the Bible from cover to cover often fail once they get to Leviticus. Those books do serve a purpose, though, and today we’ll explore that. It’s a bit of a deep dive, but because the laws are so misunderstood by today’s culture, it’s important we take the time to explore this fully.

Visions of the Future

What happens when ordinary people are granted extraordinary glimpses into the darkest corners of reality? Both “The Purple Testament” and “What’s in the Box” explore the terrifying burden of unwanted knowledge.

SILY 665- Monday Mailbag

Thanks to Geoff for sharing his struggles today. Especially for men, I think, it’s hard for us to admit we need help and accept that help. That mentality is often detrimental to our wellbeing. Geoff has shown us an example of humility and wisdom in action.

S4E14 The End of All Things

We are joined by Jerame for this episode as we discuss one of the best, most pivotal episodes of Fringe! Join us as we talk about what we love about this episode (especially the fact that we finally, after 75 episodes, find out “who or what” the Observers are) but also a couple of things that have us feeling just a tad frustrated.

SILY 664- Establishing Healthy Habits

Sometimes we fail to allow grace in our own lives. Once we miss or fail for any reason, we allow those feelings of failure to defeat us causing us to miss more often or quit altogether. It’s important to understand you will miss the mark sometimes. It’s equally important to think about that up front so that you have an understanding and a plan for how to respond and get right back to keeping up the good habit you’re trying to maintain.

TM52 – S4E4 – Legacy

Our discussion enters the section of 12 Monkeys season 4 in which the adventures of Team Splinter begin in “Legacy.” A trip to 1852 gives us the Wild West theme we never knew we wanted until now and blends it with the unlikely circumstance of the building of Titan and the return of Elliot Jones. This discussion contains spoilers up through episode 404 but is spoiler-free for future episodes that have already aired.

Join us for 12 Monkeys news, commentary and analysis for “Legacy”! This week we talk about Jennifer’s secret of no longer hearing voices, Cole’s secret of the tale originating with his mother, Jones’ secret of having a fatal dose of radiation, Elliot’s journey of reconciliation especially with Hannah, and the interesting stranger we meet in the flashbacks to the early days of the invention of time travel. Along with Terry Matalas, we explore the possible life paths that brought the various characters to where they are in the fixed timeline epilogue, and we spend some time appreciating many of the closed loops, some of which go all the way back to season 1, including Cassie’s recording, Ramse’s son, and the return of Max.
