[sc:astop]With Team Arrow’s remaining members down to the bare minimum, Oliver begins to question his own leadership as the Green Arrow. Compounding the problem, as Dragon begins to turn up the heat in his plan to take over the city, Oliver finds that it’s not just his role as mayor in jeopardy, but also everyone he loves.
This spring Arrow will be airing on on Thursdays at 9pm ET. Our podcast episodes will be posted the following Saturday/Sunday, so we can accept email/voice feedback through Friday night – and maybe an early Saturday morning submission might make it in if you’re quick. 🙂

Roy’s return could be interesting as long as there’s space for him and he’s not just another face in the crowd as it were with the team; I do think Renee might be off the team as he’s done too much for the fans to forgive so that could create space but even then “Arrow” is one of the most packed superhero shows character wise so I worry about everyone getting good time if they add Roy even as a guest and no one leaves. We’ll see how it goes and how they explain Thea’s absence.
Back up Flash, nothing bad is to happen to Nyssa again!
Oliver was so dramatic jumping to say Felicity was leaving him as if she was divorcing him, she has plenty of reasons to leave beyond this so if she hasn’t she won’t; asking him to stay at the Cave or leaving the apartment while he gets the drugs out of his system isn’t the same as divorcing him so I just felt Oliver was being over dramatic at that point and they wanted fans to feel for him but again I can’t because he’s brought some of this on himself.
The show can try and say Oliver isn’t to blame all they want but if he wasn’t the title character SO many others would have called him out by now. I understand title characters get held up as the example for series but that doesn’t mean they always are, Oliver is by NO means innocent when it comes to dividing the team or having an ego that causes problems but because he’s Arrow he’s let off where as others would be slammed left and right and I think it’s only fair Oliver receives the same because it adds realism to the series and helps character growth feel more organic.
My favorite part was Prometheus’s lines about Oliver being his own worst enemy, they were GREAT because they’re so true!
There really were some great audience question nods via dialogue in this episode.
It is SO Oliver’s fault in part Dinah left the team! Curtis left and Renee fought back, but he did drive Dinah away with accusations and not apologizing to her himself and how he treated others.
Ooh that might burn John some if Roy filled in for Oliver as Arrow given they did fight over leadership last episode; I don’t think John would hate on Roy for it but for continuity sake he should be upset Roy is filling in especially if Oliver asked him too.
I’m for Quentin reinstating Laurel 2.0 as DA because that would just let her evil spread and there’s a lot they could do with that which would mean more screen time for her which would be a plus for me; she’s been my favorite villain this season and a million times more engaging to watch than Quentin. As Cammie said Paul is a good actor but he totally feels wasted in the BUT I CAN SAVE HER scenes regarding Laurel in my opinion. If someone has to go to make room for Roy next season at this point I’m fine with it being Quentin, along with Renee (Zoe can stay though), because you tried Flash but he can’t be saved for me at this point – it’s either going to end bad for him understandable or it’s going to end bad for fans with a redeemed Laurel and certainly don’t want that.
Disagree Dad El, Dinah should stay! Renee can go; Curtis I wouldn’t mind popping in and out bringing tech for the team to test that they can apply to Smoak Technology sales later but it would be strange to see Diggle guesting essentially as even though he’s not someone who grabs me character wise he’s been there for so long it’d be weird not having him around so much. It’s kind of like Thea leaving and I didn’t realize how useful she was outside of the sibling role until she was gone.
All this talk of people leaving I’d like to propose someone’s return – Eve aka Artemis! I loved her calling Oliver out so if that’s their theme for awhile she’s fit perfectly right now; she would also bring in another “anti hero” vibe for the series because while she dislikes Oliver she might work well with say Dinah or even Roy. She’s someone I’d like to see back on the series; she was the original person flagging Oliver’s behavior and like Dinah she got treated badly due to Oliver’s ego. Yes working with Prometheus was wrong but what she had to say about Oliver to me wasn’t wrong a lot of times. Ha I realize at this point anyone reading might ask “Why do you even watch this show if you hate Oliver so much?” to which I say because it’s refreshing to see Felicity call him out, Dinah is awesome, Black Siren is a total scene stealer, Thea was killing the mayor plot, and Lyla and Nyssa are fun guests who I always want to see more of. 🙂
AGREED Stormy regarding Laurel 1.0 was better as a DA than Black Canary!
Great behind the scenes tidbit about the stunters Cammie.
“The Thanatos Guild” was definitely my favorite of the season and one of my series favorites because of Nyssa!
