SILY 666- Old Testament Laws Explained

For most of us, reading the Old Testament is not fun. All of those names and laws are difficult to read and are the reason many who have tried reading the Bible from cover to cover often fail once they get to Leviticus. Those books do serve a purpose, though, and today we’ll explore that. It’s a bit of a deep dive, but because the laws are so misunderstood by today’s culture, it’s important we take the time to explore this fully.

Visions of the Future

What happens when ordinary people are granted extraordinary glimpses into the darkest corners of reality? Both “The Purple Testament” and “What’s in the Box” explore the terrifying burden of unwanted knowledge.

SILY 665- Monday Mailbag

Thanks to Geoff for sharing his struggles today. Especially for men, I think, it’s hard for us to admit we need help and accept that help. That mentality is often detrimental to our wellbeing. Geoff has shown us an example of humility and wisdom in action.

S4E14 The End of All Things

We are joined by Jerame for this episode as we discuss one of the best, most pivotal episodes of Fringe! Join us as we talk about what we love about this episode (especially the fact that we finally, after 75 episodes, find out “who or what” the Observers are) but also a couple of things that have us feeling just a tad frustrated.

SILY 664- Establishing Healthy Habits

Sometimes we fail to allow grace in our own lives. Once we miss or fail for any reason, we allow those feelings of failure to defeat us causing us to miss more often or quit altogether. It’s important to understand you will miss the mark sometimes. It’s equally important to think about that up front so that you have an understanding and a plan for how to respond and get right back to keeping up the good habit you’re trying to maintain.

SILY 663- The Bookstore Mutiny

I struggled for a long time about whether or not to share this story with you because I felt like it was a story that was not very common and therefore not very applicable. But then I realized this story is very common. If you peel back the layers a bit here, you realize that the first step was the thoughts in the mind of one or more of the employees. They were disgruntled for whatever reason and allowed those thoughts to fester.

TSTP 58- The Massacre at Hawkins Lab

Has there ever been a more amazing or mind blowing reveal than what the Duffer brothers gave us in “The Massacre at Hawkins Lab?” Peter the friendly/creepy orderly is actually Henry Creel. I mean, he’s actually 001.  What I mean to say is that he is Vecna.  And to top it all off, El created Vecna!?!?!  Wow, what a crazy twist.  Then you add in the most amazing demogorgon fight scene we’ve ever seen with the most exploration of the upside down that we’ve ever seen, and you have one amazing episode of Stranger Things.

Hello There. With the recent conclusion of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney+, it only made sense to dedicate some time to discussing the show. Blake and JJ share their raw, untamed thoughts on the show as a whole. They look over every part of the series and explain what the show did well, and what it could have done better. Do you agree with their thoughts? Do you think they were too critical? What do you think the show did well?

TSTP 57- The Dive Listener Feedback

TSTP 57- The Dive Listener Feedback

We’re quickly approaching the end of Stranger Things 4 Part 1, and you all continue to come up with intriguiging theories! The debate continues on whether or not Peter is friendly or creepy, and some of you are even tossing out ideas on Peter’s possible true identity.  As the community of Hawkins is lathered up into a frenzy by Jason, some of you saw parallels between Eddie’s story of this season and the West Memphis 3 real-life events from the early 1990’s.  In fact, your insight shared about the West Memphis 3 cause Darrell to reevaluate his theory on Miss Kelley.

TSTP 56- The Dive

TSTP 56- The Dive

Steve jumps at the opportunity to leave the kids behind and step out of his babysitter role, but we were not prepared for him to do so! The Dive, episode 6 of Stranger Things’ 4th season, left us wanting more! With the citizens of Hawkins in a frenzy thanks to Jason’s accusations against The Hellfire Club, it’s not only Eddie that now finds himself in their crosshairs. Eleven continues to dive deeper into her memories, exploring her previous life as Brenner’s lab rat, and becoming increasing influenced by the creepy/friendly orderly, Peter.  002 is not too happy about her rising strength, and it looks like she’s now convinced she is the one responsible for the massacre at Hawkins Lab.
