TSTP 94- The Suspect

A new piece of the puzzle lands in the Hawkins Investigators Club’s hands, and the team fractures into three directions with one goal in mind: find something that explains what is happening in Hawkins before the next escalation turns into a full disaster.

SILY 702- System Failure

Today I’m sharing something I’ve never talked about publicly. It’s a story I almost waited to tell, because honestly, we’re still in the middle of it. But I’ve come to believe that sometimes the most valuable lessons aren’t the ones you share from the other side of the mountain. They’re the ones you share from the climb.

TSTP 93- The Party

Two terrifying creatures just crashed Dustin’s solo run to the Food Mart, Eleven goes out on a limb to save him, and the gang goes underground to celebrate Nikki’s birthday.

S5E8 Five-Twenty-Ten

We are joined by Ynza for this episode of the podcast as we discuss this awesome episode of Fringe! We enthusiastically share excitement about Blair Brown being back in full force in this episode as well as how great Josh Jackson’s performance is playing a new version of Peter.

SILY 701- Hands of a Father

I want to tell you about a pair of hands. Hands that could lay a straight line of carpet across a living room floor, split a cord of firewood without breaking a sweat, or coax a stubborn CV joint back into place with nothing but basic tools and a whole lot of patience. Those were my dad’s hands.

TSTP 92- Enter the Storm

A blizzard has swallowed Hawkins whole, and the gang is more fractured and in more danger than ever before. In “Enter the Storm” (Chapter Seven), Darrell and Addi break down one of the season’s most intense and emotionally charged episodes yet.

Would Disney Remake This

Would Disney Remake This

Disney has been remaking their cinematic classics for many years now. These remakes have gained popularity in recent years and are part of Disney’s strategy to capitalize on their extensive catalog. Disney remakes serve several purposes. They allow Disney to introduce classic stories to a new generation of audiences, often with updated visuals and contemporary themes. They also provide an opportunity to monetize existing intellectual property and expand the Disney brand. But the remakes have faced criticism for being overly reliant on nostalgia and not offering much that is new or innovative. But are there movies that Disney would not remake?

S2E13 The Bishop Revival

S2E13 The Bishop Revival

Join us this week for our discussion of “The Bishop Revival” as we unpack a little bit of the Bishop family history in this very purple episode about a Nazi scientist who somehow has not aged since the 1940s and is carrying out deadly experiments to advance the Nazi agenda. It’s an episode with a fascinating fringe science behind it, and we dive into the colors that we see in this episode as well as the several lines of dialogue that are so multilayered on rewatch. We also share some truly awesome feedback from several listeners.

Halloween Rethemes

Halloween Rethemes

One of Disney fans’ favorite parts of the Halloween overhaul at Disneyland is the Nightmare Before Christmas retheme for Haunted Mansion. There have been a few other attraction rethemes, but what if there were more across the parks? In this episode, both Blake and JJ are discussing potential rethemes for different attractions across Disneyland and California Adventure, including classics such as Pirates of the Caribbean, or some newer rides such as WEB Slingers. They also discuss what Disney could also do more with in terms of their Halloween events they put on every year.

Halloween in Black and White

Halloween in Black and White

Halloween season is here and it’s time to watch some Disney Halloween movies! Tim Burton first offered up the story of “Frankenweenie” as a live action short-film in 1984. However, in today’s episode, we’re covering the longer stop-motion animation version from 2012. Last year around this time, Disney Plus premiered “Werewolf by Night” directed by Michael Giacchino.  Not only are both of these films in black and white, but each of them draw upon classic horror films from the 50s – 80s, filling their stories with easter eggs and homages to those beloved classics.
