SILY 666- Old Testament Laws Explained

For most of us, reading the Old Testament is not fun. All of those names and laws are difficult to read and are the reason many who have tried reading the Bible from cover to cover often fail once they get to Leviticus. Those books do serve a purpose, though, and today we’ll explore that. It’s a bit of a deep dive, but because the laws are so misunderstood by today’s culture, it’s important we take the time to explore this fully.

Visions of the Future

What happens when ordinary people are granted extraordinary glimpses into the darkest corners of reality? Both “The Purple Testament” and “What’s in the Box” explore the terrifying burden of unwanted knowledge.

SILY 665- Monday Mailbag

Thanks to Geoff for sharing his struggles today. Especially for men, I think, it’s hard for us to admit we need help and accept that help. That mentality is often detrimental to our wellbeing. Geoff has shown us an example of humility and wisdom in action.

S4E14 The End of All Things

We are joined by Jerame for this episode as we discuss one of the best, most pivotal episodes of Fringe! Join us as we talk about what we love about this episode (especially the fact that we finally, after 75 episodes, find out “who or what” the Observers are) but also a couple of things that have us feeling just a tad frustrated.

SILY 664- Establishing Healthy Habits

Sometimes we fail to allow grace in our own lives. Once we miss or fail for any reason, we allow those feelings of failure to defeat us causing us to miss more often or quit altogether. It’s important to understand you will miss the mark sometimes. It’s equally important to think about that up front so that you have an understanding and a plan for how to respond and get right back to keeping up the good habit you’re trying to maintain.

SILY 663- The Bookstore Mutiny

I struggled for a long time about whether or not to share this story with you because I felt like it was a story that was not very common and therefore not very applicable. But then I realized this story is very common. If you peel back the layers a bit here, you realize that the first step was the thoughts in the mind of one or more of the employees. They were disgruntled for whatever reason and allowed those thoughts to fester.

MOS 14 – S1E14 – Jailer, Judge & Jury

We’re a couple days late, but here nonetheless! Karen and I, Emilee, were excited to chat about Supergirl Season 1 Episode 14 “Truth, Justice and the American Way,” which originally aired on February 22, 2016. After two weeks off, myself, before the week off last week, it felt good to talk Supergirl again and start to see a lot of the pieces coming together that have been floating in their distinct realms since the series began. The Hunters and the Hunted

Well, it just wouldn’t be the Flash unless someone you trusted turned out to be a speedster wolf in sheep’s clothing. Ain’t that always the way? And as many of us predicted, and as was confirmed by Andrew Kreisberg himself, Zoom is indeed Hunter Zolomon! I’m over-the-moon, as Zoom is a fave villain of mine, and I was hoping against hope that they’d stick to his comic book identity. BUT while we got one answer, about a thousand more were raised. TWDTT 035 – The Next World (S6E10)

“The Next World” is the next episode of our favorite show, but this one came with mixed reviews from us. One of us thought there were too many plot holes, and the other just went with it. Whatever your thoughts are, this episode is probably the most humorous episode of The Walking Dead that we’ve ever seen. It’s nice to see our characters relax for a little while and sort of goof off. Unfortunately, we know that this cannot last, and that hell is probably coming. Read More…

SB45 – Agent Carter S1E8-E9 – The Edge of Mystery & A Little Song and Dance Review

With Ana on the mend and Wilkes in the clutches of Whitney Frost, the emotions were running high in this double episode of Agent Carter, which included The Edge of Mystery and A Little Song and Dance. There were quite a few unlikely team-ups for us to talk about as well, which made this a great lead in to the season finale next week.

Join us for show news, episode analysis, and our listener feedback segment! This week we talk about Whitney’s lack of fulfillment with zero matter, Wilkes’ troubled relationship with it, Thompson’s strategic turnaround, the recruitment of Masters, and the fate of those near the potential explosion at the end.
