Cayden James approaches Oliver Queen with an offer he can’t quite refuse in this week’s episode. While Team Arrow is still divided into two trios, the two sides make an agreement to share information, as the threats the teams are facing begin to hit a little closer to home. Help comes from unlikely sources, and secrets are kept by unlikely sources, as everyone must work together before Cayden’s ultimatum hits.

As we return to Star City for the midseason premiere, we find Team Arrow – as the title would suggest – divided. While OTA (Oliver, Diggle, and Felicity) continue the fight to protect the city against the team of villains Cayden James has brought together, the remaining trio (Curtis, Dinah, and Rene) have left. As Oliver partners with a familiar name to bring down Cayden, he remains confident that the remaining team can still complete the mission, but unexpected threats intervene.

Flashbacks into Slade and his son’s past shed light on why this rescue mission may not be as straightforward as initially planned.

Meanwhile, Oliver juggles duties as the mayor and as a father, as new challenges arrive on each front, and a new anti-vigilante referendum threatens the safety of everyone on the team and in the city.
