In this podcast we review the pilot episode of Fringe. We held a Fringe watch party for our friends and then sat down with our Zoom H2 digital recorder and gathered our initial thoughts and discoveries of the premiere. We discuss plot lines, character development, fringe sciences, the use of colors, plot devices and show pacing.
We also mention this podcast from NPR that has a JJ Abrams interview about Fringe.
I have to say, I was not super impressed with the show. But you know how critical I am. It all seemed a little to obvious. I didn’t see any real hook that would invite me to watch again, other than just wanting to see some far out sci-fi, like you would expect from an outer limits episode. There was way to much personal drama, to early in the show. I may watch it, just to see what crazy science stuff they are playing with, but I don’t think I could get into it. This feels like Eureka or Torchwood, only darker and trying to take itself to seriously. I love the podcast though. Keep it up.
