I know it isn’t on the list, but I’d like to vote for The Leftovers.
I appreciate the suggestion, Ian. The Leftovers definitely intrigued several of us here at GSM. At the time when it started, none of the hosts had HBO. I’m not sure if that’s till the case, but since the season only has 4 episodes left, we won’t be covering this season. Perhaps next season.
Scorpion – about the genius who recruits the other genius kids to hack into stuff and help save people – looks good – apparently it will show actual hacker tools and techniques – should be very nerdy
Scorpion does look very promising. I think it would be a good fit for GSM.
I would prefer if you picked a new show so we can all start with season 1.
Scorpion is on the list of shows that we are looking at internally, but it didn’t pop up very high on anyone’s list. For example, it was 6th on my list. Still, I appreciate the suggestion. While it’s doubtful we’ll pick it up, it is a possibility.
Other Sci-Fi shows I would love to hear you guys talk about is Haven(super mythology!) and Defiance.
This other one is not for everybody. Hannibal. Its pretty graphic for TV but in my opinion has the best writing and acting on TV. No other show can put 2 people in a room and have them sit across from one another and talk for 5+ min and have it be so invigorating. I think some people would be pleasantly surprised at the depth this show can reach.

Thanks for the suggestions, Mike! Haven is not a show that I had even considered. It’s in season 4 now and I’m not sure that any of the GSM team watches it. Hannibal is a spring show so we’ll look at it later, and Defiance is a summer show so it will be under consideration later as well.

I don’t think Jason and Karen are possible options for us, but SHIELD definitely is. Thanks for the additional vote for Haven.
I’m liking the WGN America show Manhattan, the story about the building of the A-Bomb. It’s interesting, well done with good acting performances. It would be a good show to podcast about.
We’re too late to pick up this show, but I do appreciate the suggestion. I caught a commercial for it and it looked really intriguing. I might just try to watch it once it shows up on Netflix or Amazon.
I see that others have mentioned the show that I also thought of when I stopped to consider what was missing from the list – Haven. It is a show with a rich mythology.

Any plans for Clint and Daryl to do a podcast? There are a bunch of sci-fi shows coming out!
Clint and I just had a conversation yesterday about a specific show that we’re both interested in. While it’s not 100% quite yet, it looks very good at this point. I hope to announce it very soon.
Clint and Daryl should do a podcast on the new show coming to HBO Westworld.
Neither of us have HBO. Clint doesn’t even have cable.
