Talking Through Hostiles and Calamities

This content has been moved and can now be found here.

Hostiles and Calamities is the next episode of The Walking Dead, and it is an all Saviors all the time episode. If you couldn’t tell, neither one of us really cared too much for this episode, however, one bright spot, for at least one of us, is that Dwight gets beat up. Even though we didn’t, we always like it when our listeners enjoy the show! We didn’t get much feedback, but what we did get seemed pretty positive.

While there wasn’t much that either of us found very compelling this week, we both felt that we did get a lot more insight into Negan, and what makes him tick. Unfortunately, for me at least, the problem is I don’t really care too much about what makes Negan tick. I still can’t really put my finger on why I dislike him so much other than that he is just a bully and I don’t like bullies. But the other bright spot in the episode is Eugene. Josh McDermitt does such a great job portraying the scared little boy that Eugene often is, but also when Eugene changes into a guy with a little more chutzpah. Is Eugene really siding with Negan, or is he doing what Daryl couldn’t and just going along to get along? I hope he is able to recognize Negan for what he is and not be suckered in by his smooth talk. Also, what is up with Dwight? Will he turn on Negan finally? Or will he keep on taking it like a whipped puppy?

Tell us what you think about Eugene and Dwight by leaving us some feedback. Will they team up to take down Negan, or will one of them rat the other out?
