This week’s episode of The Walking Dead shows our gang trying to become domesticated again. They must figure out their place in this new community, but is it everything it seems? The ratings are back up again for this episode, probably due in part to no annual TV events to watch. But mostly because this show is so awesome! In any case, we are excited that the slump seems to be over, but only time will tell.
The group explores Alexandria as they decide whether or not they want to stay in this “safe zone.” There are mixed feelings in the group, and some aren’t taking any chances…or showers. I’m looking at you, Daryl. Others seem to be swayed by the promise of running water and electricity. However, Carl and Stepford Carol both point out that the people here in Alexandria are weak, and if they stay, they might become weak also. Rick says that it isn’t in them to be weak ever again, and then makes a statement that sounds very un-Rick-like. Will he finally become the villain in his own story?

Brian’s Note: In this episode, I state that Rick used to have chest hair. Here’s the proof from the pilot! He had lost his chest hair by S4E11 (“Claimed”), as shown here.
