In episode 222 of The Revolution Podcast we take a look at the 11th episode of Revolution season 2 entitled, “Mis Dos Padres.” A lot is happening with the show as the main cast members are now scattered in Mexico, Willoughby, TX, Spring City, OK, and Washington DC. We discuss the title, “Mis Dos Padres” and how it applies to the situation with Monroe, Nunez, and Connor as well as Jason, Tom, and Victor, and also consider how it might even apply to Aaron, Peter, and the nanites.
We share our opinions on Monroe’s intentions on raising up the Monroe Republic again and whether or not he’s conning Connor, or conning Miles and Rachel. We discuss the revelation that the Patriots in Willoughby are apparently dosing the oranges with Typhus and even wonder if that is the “even worse” things that Jason Neville saw on the papers he stole from Doyle.
“Mis Dos Padres” also gave us some new answers about the nanites, and it’s clear that Grace knows more than she’s telling Aaron and Priscilla. We throw out a few ideas, including a theory that Grace may not be Grace at all; she may me a manifestation of the nanites.
In our feedback segment we hear thoughts about the gun and ammo shortage from season 1, the selfless acts of Monroe, new evidence that Charlie is actually Miles’ daughter, and an argument that Charlie has, in fact, not matured this season.
We also share a lot of feedback we received about the use of maggots in, “The Three Amigos” and information that the inspiration of next week’s episode, “Captain Trips” is from Stephen King’s book, “The Stand.”
