In episode 17 of Triplecast we continue our Alfred Hitchcock and Cary Grant series with their 1955 collaboration, “To Catch a Thief.” This classic movie brings wonderful views of the French Riviera, and brings a nice blend of adventure, comedy, romance, and mystery. Grant plays a notorious but retired thief who is suspected that he might be up to his old deeds when a new ring of thefts begin. He teams up with Frances Stephens, played by Grace Kelly, and H. H. Hughson played by John Williams, to try and nab the real thief.

We discuss the plot, acting, style, and cinematography of “To Catch a Thief”, talk about what happened next in the lives of the actors, and recommend other movies similar to “To Catch a Thief.”
