TWDTT 047 – The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be (S7E1)
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 1:43:00 — 59.6MB) | Embed
“The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be” are prophetic words spoken by Dr. Jenner way back in season 1 as Rick and the gang fled an about to explode CDC in Atlanta. Much like Rick, we didn’t ever think that those words would or could come back to haunt us. Now we know differently. Two of our beloved characters will no longer be a part of our show, but they will not be forgotten. Especially by the rest of the characters. In fact, this episode will most likely be the story that changed everything. Read More…

TWDTT 046 – Season 7 Preview
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 1:30:00 — 41.8MB) | Embed
Whoa, whoa, whoa! Season 7 is upon us! Only a few days remain until we get to see who gets “Lucilled” and this makes us both excited and trepidatious, both eager and panicked, and both impatient and anxious, all at the same time! What a wide range of emotions we are all experiencing as we anticipate what will happen! I cannot use another exclamation point! Oops. But, we talked about a lot more than just who we think might get the bat. We talked about what we are most excited about, and what we are perhaps dreading a little bit. But one thing is for sure, Sunday cannot get here soon enough. Read More…

FTWDTT 021 – Wrath & North (S2E14/S2E15) Feedback
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 1:17:47 — 44.9MB) | Embed
Hello folks, we are back with another episode that is all about YOU! You guys had a lot to say about “Wrath” and “North,” and so did we. But you can hear what we had to say in the previous episode. Thank you so much for joining in on the conversation, we really appreciate it when we get to hear from other people besides just the two of us (“we can make it if we try…”). I know I beg for it all the time, but we really love it when you all give us audio feedback!! A special thank you to Lara who did this time! Thank you thank you! Read More…

FTWDTT 020 – Wrath & North (S2E14/S2E15) Review
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 1:39:10 — 57.1MB) | Embed
Well, the final two episodes of the second season of Fear the Walking Dead, “North” and “Wrath,” are here, and so is this episode…finally…! It has been a crazy week, but we aren’t even done! Stay tuned (so to speak) for our feedback episode which will be released later. But first, we talk about the craziness that is the penultimate episode and the still kinda craziness, but not quite as crazy that is the ultimate episode. We liked both episodes, but I think the consensus is that we liked the penultimate episode slightly better. However, there were good parts of both, and that is what we discussed! We also talked about a few things that disappointed us, as we do.

FTWDTT 019 – Date of Death (S2E13)
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 1:35:55 — 55.3MB) | Embed
It’s the penultimate week for Fear the Walking Dead, but “Date of Death” is not the penultimate episode. Not exactly. It depends on if you consider the two next week to be one episode or not. Personally, I think it will also depend on how they play out. Sometimes two episodes can feel like one really long one, and sometimes, they really are two separate episodes. Since my crystal ball is still on backorder, I guess we will have to wait until this coming Sunday to find out. In any case, “Date of Death” was a vast improvement over the previous week, at least for these two podcasters. This episode gave us backstory on what happened with Travis and Chris after the ill-fated trip to the chicken farm. I rather feel bad for Lorenzo James Henrie because he seems like so much fun, but I absolutely detest his character. I guess that means he’s doing his job well. Read More…

FTWDTT 018 – Pillar of Salt (S2E12)
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 1:29:07 — 51.4MB) | Embed
Two weeks, three episodes is how much time we have left with Fear the Walking Dead; two steps forward, three steps back is kinda how we feel about episode 12, “Pillar of Salt.” Unfortunately, things took a downward turn during this episode, and it was mostly because of one character. As I said in the episode, Madison is as unreliable as Nick is in her actions and motivations. However, honestly, I think that perhaps the roles have been reversed because Nick appears to be doing quite well. But Madison just can’t accept that he’s gone and that the daughter she has right in front of her still needs her. I hope that the next three hours will be enough to change her into a character that I really do want to follow and care about. Because as of right now, I really, really don’t. Read More…

TWDTT 045 – Vincent M. Ward (Oscar) Interview
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 23:18 — 14.0MB) | Embed
Wow! What an amazing experience this was! Words cannot even express how infinitely cool Vincent M. Ward is, not to mention, he really is as big as he looks on tv! I just walked up to him and said, “Hey, we’re doing this podcast thing here at Geekinomicon, I do a podcast about The Walking Dead, and we’d love it if you could come and talk to us.” And he did! In case you are scratching your head about who he is, Vincent played “Oscar” in season 3 of The Walking Dead. Oscar is one of the prisoners that our gang unwittingly stumbles upon in the prison, who ultimately, along with Axel, sides with Rick. Unfortunately, his time on the show was short, but it was very sweet as he dies helping our gang rescue Glenn and Maggie from Woodbury. Read More…

FTWDTT 017 – Pablo & Jessica (S2E11)
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 1:38:00 — 56.4MB) | Embed
And the hits just keep on coming! We liked this episode about Pablo and Jessica better than the last episode, which makes us very glad. It also makes us hopeful for the future of the series as far as quality of content goes. However, it seems that the ratings keep taking a hit, so perhaps the rest of you are not liking Fear as much as we are after the 11th episode of the second season. We might just so happen to be a little bit predisposed to like them, though! On the other hand, as we discussed in this week’s episode, the ratings may be dipping, but the show is still on top. Since they don’t have to worry about securing a third season, we hope they can focus on continuing to make the show great! Read More…

FTWDTT 016 – Do Not Disturb (S2E10)
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 1:42:03 — 58.8MB) | Embed
“Do Not Disturb” is our third episode back, and so logically we catch up with our third group: Travis and Chris. The first scene we see what became of the ill-fated wedding party, but then we immediately go to the father and son wonder team. Although Chris seems really happy to have his dad with him, he doesn’t really seem to be on the same page as Travis. Travis is trying his best not to lose his son, but he can’t seem to compete with the bro-tastic trio. Chris ends up showing his murdery side when he kills the owner of the chickens, and Travis doesn’t seem to know what to make of this new turn of events. Read More…
