Season 2 episode 10 of NBC’s hit show Revolution aired on January 8, 2014 and it is entitled, “The Three Amigos.” In episode 221 of The Revolution Podcast we review “The Three Amigos” and discuss the various developments in the show. We talk about Charlie’s growth as a character and how much she’s matured since the beginning of Revolution season 1. We talk about Monroe’s son, Connor Bennett, and how much he favors Sebastian Monroe. We also theorize on what path Monroe might take. Will he choose a good path, pull his son out of Mexico, and try to redeem the Monroe name, or will he try to get his son to join him on a destructive path of power and greed?
We share our opinions on the developments with the Neville family and the power struggle between Julia and Tom. We speculate on whether or not Julia will side with Tom or Victor, what Jason saw on the private papers, and what had Allenford upset. Of course, we also talk about Aaron and his arrival in Spring City, OK and the shocking reappearance of Grace Beaumont!
We also share listener feedback in this episode and we hear thoughts about all of these subjects plus a few other ideas about what Jason saw, the Monroe and Connor relationship, Charlie’s ability to quickly kill the two Patriot soldiers, what might have been put into the oranges, and why Aaron and Grace have been brought to Spring City, Oklahoma.

Hi
First time commentor here. Love your podcast. Just wanted to comment on the one of the titles for an upcoming episode of Revolution which neither Jeremy or Daryl (sorry if my spelling is wrong) seemed to recognize. I think you said one of the titles was going to be Mr. Tripps. This is a reference to the name given the disease that killed a significant portion of the worlds population in Stephen King’s The Stand novel. Possibly the episode will be about what was injected into the oranges? Revolution seems to make many references to this novel, (ie Miles calling himself Stu Redman – major character in the book, the book itself shown in the library scene when Miles went to get Jim Hudson etc…) Anyway, just thought you might be interested in the info. Keep up the good work.
Clarise in Colorado with Grandma Moses (another The Stand reference sorry:))
Hello Clarise. Sorry, but I can’t say that name and not sound like Hannibal Lecter in my mind. Captain Trips is the name of the episode being shown on January 22nd. I’m glad you caught The Stand reference. As you pointed out, Revolution has leaned heavily on The Stand, so I’m sure you’ve hit on an important link. I’ll mention this on the next podcast. Thanks!!
Hey guys. Great podcast, as always. I just wanted to mention, although I’m not sure if you care. But, the guy called Peter, whom you guys have referred to at least twice in the feedback. Well, he’s my Dad, and the very person who got me interested in both the show and this podcast. I wanted to point out another supposed Star Wars similarity I noticed, was Arron discovering his powers, and going to someone who can tell him more (Specifically, Grace) resembled Luke and Ben-Kenobi. I’m assuming that Grace is in Salt Lake City with others like Ben, and Rachel, people who understand the nanites. I also believe that Connor was just saving face when stating to Bass that he commanded 30 men, and is in a similar position in whatever Mexican Gang he is in, as Tom was in the Monroe Militia. I’m going to end this email by giving you guys something to dwell on. What if Jason hasn’t fully recovered? What if he’s a “Sleeper Agent”? (Wanting for a better word). Anyway, that’s it. Really looking forward to whatever Revolution has in store for next time, and thank you for reading.
Hey Jordan! It’s great to have you and Peter both listening. I like your point about Aaron discovering his powers and then going to an Obi Wan Kenobi type figure. Grace is in Spring City, Oklahoma though, not Salt Lake City. Am I misunderstanding what you’re trying to say? I also think it’s possible that Jason hasn’t fully recovered. It would sure be interesting if it turns out that he is still brain washed and he turns on his parents.
OOOHHH,,, I saw the DC set !!!!
PS Barb – no oranges please!!
