ok — I’ve been thinking about this.
I definitely think that the new government snatched Monroe, and Charlie will follow him to Washington DC. The guy who took him looked back at Charlie and they made eye contact. She knows something is up.
In DC, not only will she find Monroe, imprisoned in a White House cell (where he would be put on trial for treason by the new gov’t – a handy person to blame for the nukes and enable the new gov’t to get credibility with the people), but she’ll also stumble upon Tom and Jason, who are there as part of Tom’s revenge against the new dictatorship. The 3 of them will compare notes, realize that something big is going on, rescue Monroe just before he faces execution (they need him to validate what they know to be true), and then they will flee to Texas. Bingo — whole gang is back together again.
can’t wait!
been doing some more thinking (it’s dangerous) – I think Miles killed someone from the new gov’t that was coming after him — same as Monroe. He wouldn’t have killed someone in the town — and alienate Rachel and her father — so it’s likely the new gov’t. Then he will believe Charlie and crew when they come back from rescuing Monroe — because it would have almost happened to him.
