In this inaugural episode of The Revolution Podcast we discuss the trailers and previews that NBC has released, we share our expectations, and we introduce everyone to the cast and ourselves.
In our discussions about our expectations about Revolution, we theorize on what may be the cause of the blackout, and what we hope did not cause the blackout. We talk a little bit about how Revolution differs from other other post-apocalyptic shows like The Walking Dead and Falling Skies, and why we believe Revolution will succeed. We also point out what could be a clue hidden in the preview trailer, the characters that intrigue us most, and talk about our show format and frequency.
Revolution premiers on Monday, September 17 at 10/9c on NBC. Join our live chat and discuss the episode as it airs each week.
Our podcast is recorded in front of a live, worldwide internet audience each Tuesday at 8pm eastern time starting on September 18th.

Is this going to have its own iTunes feed?
Yes, it has been submitted to iTunes for approval. We’ll post it as soon as it’s active. It’s already part of the Golden Spiral Media All-Inclusive Feed. You can also subscribe to it manually via the link http://feeds.feedburner.com/TheRevolutionPodcast.
Welcome to the Golden Spiral Media ‘verse, Jeremy!
Are you going to put this in Zune marketplace? I tried to download the ep but it wouldn’t let me.
Thank you
Yes, we have submitted the feed to Zune for approval. Hopefully they’ll have it included soon.
I just can’t say enough how thrilled I am both about the show AND the podcast! In fact, the podcast just gets me even MORE interested in the show, considering that without a decent viewership and strong fan-base, many shows like this fall by the way-side. Here’s to hoping this one sticks! (and it seems it most certainly IS on the way to success)
Even if Abrams fades back after season 1 (like he tends to do), Kripke is a very hands-on kind of guy and can easily carry a show with a strong story… So I am definitely not worried a bit there! If only Whedon was involved, it would be a fan-boy’s dream! (but then it would most definitely get killed….)
I suppose I should make sure NBC comes in alright by the time this starts. 🙂
Keep spreading the Revolution!
Thanks for the kind words, Unabeefer! We also believe that the efforts of podcasts and social networks can be a great tool to spread enthusiasm among the fanbase and help keep a show on the air. Fringe is definitely evidence of that. We certainly don’t think that it was just our efforts that has helped Fringe or will help NBC. But we know that if we can do our part to help these shows out, then it will help others do the same.
That intro is epic haha This show looks pretty interesting. I saw the pilot at comic con it makes me hope J J has another big hit on his hands. Always love all of your guys podcasts so this should be a good way to help people get together to watch the show from day one.
Nice 1st podcast guys — and Welcome! to Jeremy.
I look forward to the same enthusiasm here as with the Fringe podcast. Can’t wait for September 17th!
