In episode 29 of Triplecast we continue our Christian Bale series and this time we covering The Prestige.  Released on October 20, 2006, The Prestige tells the story of two rival magicians whose continual pursuit to be more successful than the other.  However, this competition gets personal and neither of the men know the deep tragedy that it will bring them.

We both rated this movie very high for it’s intricate plot and precise cinematography and direction.  We talk about the various plot twists, the clues that the audience is given about the truth behind the secrets of Borden and Angier, the believability of the story, and our satisfaction with the ending.

The Prestige was written by Jonathan and Christopher Nolan and directed by Christopher Nolan.   David Julyan composed the music for The Prestige.   The Prestige stars, Christian Bale as Alfred Bordon, Hugh Jackman as Robert Angier, Scarlett Johansson as Olivia Wenscombe, Michael Cane as John Cutter, Piper Perabo as Julia McCollough, Rebecca Hall as Sarah Borden, and David Bowie as Nikola Tesla.
