  • A 30 second commercial for the final episode cost $2 million
  • The final episode was viewed by 76.3 million viewers, placing it 4th all time of the most watched TV show series finales. (M*A*S*H 105.9 million, Cheers 84.4 million, The Fugitive 78 million)
  • Megan Mullally and Rosie O’Donnell read for the part of Elaine.
  • Steve Buscemi, Nathan Lane, and Danny DeVito were all considered for George
  • It was originally titled “The Seinfeld Chronicles,” but it got changed because ABC was already planning a series called “The Marshall Chronicles.”
