Welcome to Stuff I Learned Yesterday. My name is Darrell Darnell, I want to thank all of you who checked to make sure I was okay after this week’s tornadoes, and I believe that if you aren’t learning, you aren’t living. In today’s episode of Stuff I Learned Yesterday I’m pleased to bring you another installment of the Friday Forum.

Today’s fun fact: Here are some tornado facts for you. The highest wind speed ever recorded on earth took place when an F5 tornado ripped through Oklahoma City on May 3, 1999. It was 318 miles per hour (511 kph). The town of Codell, KS was hit by a tornado on May 20, 1916, May 20, 1917, and May 20, 1918. The widest tornado ever recorded was in El Reno, Ok on May 31, 2013. It was 2.6 miles wide (4.18 km). Oh, and Oklahoma also had 585 earthquakes of magnitude 3 or larger in 2014.
