The Sandbox Episode 85 – Fun and Games Review
The battle of the Inhumans heats up in the latest Agents of SHIELD episode, Fun and Games. With Fitz in the mix, the wheels are in motion for a shift in focus to whatever’s on the surface, and with all the deaths they leave behind them, it should be an interesting change for the show moving forward.
Join us for show news, commentary and analysis for Fun and Games, Faith’s CoulSass moments, and our listener feedback segment! Clark did a great job with directing in this episode!
I don’t mind Framework Fitz popping up as long as there’s ramifications to it because he’s not the Fitz they know and care some members be friends with him when he chooses that personality more over the guy they knew? Yes people evolve but Framework Fitz was a bad guy. My main concern with Framework Fitz appearing beyond making sure they don’t wash away consequences to those choices is I don’t want to see Fitz get bumped to field agent like Daisy because while he’s good with a gun if he got promoted like that it would take out 1) the team’s tech guy and they need him and 2) it would feel to me like yet another thing where it’s more about Fitz than Jemma with Fitzsimmons relationship and it would just deepen my dislike for the pairing. I’m all for individual character development but if one moved up while another stayed behind even though we’re told they can do the same thing it would annoy me. Also it would make positions like tech specialist feel second rate to the field agents who yes have the sexy job as they say but tech and doctors are just important, arguably more so, so let Fitz be a great shot but don’t take him out as the tech guy unless you’re going to have him doing tech stuff in the field while fighting in which case Jemma should get bumped up as well and patch up people while also holding off others since they have the same training.
I wonder if Sinara will turn on Kasius now for kind of throwing her to the wolves as it were?
It’s pronounced wives Dave. 😉 At the least I would say Daisy is Jemma’s best friend as far as the group goes.
The “silence” scene with Fitzsimmons was great visually but again emotionally I can’t enjoy it as much as other fans.
I don’t think Fitz can go back to how he was pre-Framework as he seems to enjoy elements of that personality too much; as Mike said it’s good organic drama if they keep things in play so again the question is what will his new relationships be like – will some go from friends to co-workers or will they stay friends? Will some refuse to work with Fitz because of changes?
I’m picking both of Mack’s lines for the CoulSass poll because they’re just too good not to!
Agreed I was not expecting Tess to die this week!
