SHOW NOTES:
Here’s Why You Recognize These S.H.I.E.L.D. Leaders (EW.com)
I loved seeing the real 33 because maybe having that piece of self back will help her find peace with her life. I don’t know if she’ll ever be back with S.H.I.E.L.D. but it was sad always seeing her be someone else because she couldn’t remember her.
Fitz definitely seems to inject himself into Skye’s issues a lot, it’s subtle at times to the characters but it’s there; I get why he feels a connection to Skye but I do wish he would stop sometimes, they’re situations aren’t always fully the same and I think him acting like that could hurt Skye at a point if he isn’t careful. It’s definitely not just about Skye as Simmons said. Fitz is making it personal at times.
It was another great father-daughter scene with Coulson and Skye and as said some great metaphors to show Coulson is currently, and hopefully always, on Skye’s side. I think it’s going to require both Simmons and Fitz for the true Quake gauntlets because she knows Skye’s biology and he knows how to engineer things to work safer with it; it could be the project which helps them rebuild their friendship more.
I can definitely see Ward using 33’s new upgraded mask to gain access to S.H.I.E.L.D. or certain agents. 33 could be May again given her clearance level, Jemma to get at Skye and try to cause problems, or Skye to throw Coulson off; that feature will definitely be in play this or next season I feel. I rule out her posing as Bobbie because of the height difference.
I don’t think it’s just Trip that’s got Simmons worried, she lost Fitz in a way and not just because of his mental change but because he admitted he loved her and she doesn’t love him in that way back so that changed their relationship period and she’s wondering if she’ll ever get that back, then she lost her friend Trip and that affected her just like Hartley affected Hunter early in the season, and now she’s worried about losing Skye who she loves, in whichever way you think she does care about Skye and she sees the pain she’s in and how powers can cost people and she doesn’t want to lose Skye in any way too. She’s scared of losing more of her family, anyone would be affected; she doesn’t want Skye on the other side of the rifle. I trust Simmons to do the right thing.
I like Faith’s comments on Bobbi.
