Agents of SHIELD Season 6 Episode 2 Review: Window of Opportunity
“Window of Opportunity” introduced a whole new dynamic to Agents of SHIELD as we learned more about Sarge and his team through the subtle use of hints dropped into their dialogue. With Fitz just missing Simmons out in space, his path to redemption hearkens back to his troubles in season 4, creating a nice bit of dissonance for the journey of Fitz and Enoch.

Honestly I still fumble to know the team names beyond Butterfly/Snowflake and Sarge; maybe it’s because they’re cool but not grabbing me as much as Sarge and Snowflake but I OFTEN forget what the two guys are called.
“Could be cultural, could be crazy!” – ha!
“One word: Continuum.” – YES!!!
Who doesn’t swoon over May. 🙂
It would of course break my heart to see Daisy and Jemma fighting to the point they speak anymore but I’m all for consequences to Jemma’s actions because that was a big deal! I don’t want Davis to die, Piper I’m okay being injured so she has to go back to Earth (we’d get Vasquez back on “Supergirl”), but I think being support it would be them before Daisy or Jemma. If Daisy does get hurt I would LOVE to see Jemma apologizing and waiting on her because Doctor Simmons is so pokey but patient now Daisy is always thankful. 🙂
I will never be okay with the Fitz plot guys sorry, they hyped up consequences too much in S5 for me to be okay with past Fitz still being around; at the least I can enjoy Iain’s work acting wise and his accent if Fitz gets angry because yeah that’s a plus. 🙂 I’m bummed my Skimmons is being tainted by Fitzsimmons of course but I have accepted to a degree the show chose the worst option (to me) so all I can’t do is watch with a fan edit in mind each time; the plot still works great if you imagine Fitz as the brother Jemma said he was to her before they forced the romance plot so you don’t have to change a lot of dialogue as you watch just emotions. So yeah I’m still angry with this whole thing to say the least but it’s not a total garbage fest like previous seasons (5 and 3) yet.
I am SO happy they didn’t do jealous Mack! It actually makes me like him more because he seems more adult; I’m sure he’s upset but he’s not going into a cliché jealous rage so I’m all for more Mack like this where he knows and he’s going to be mature, if Yoyo comes back fine but if not then he just wants her happy. I’m even for him saying he still loves her as long as they don’t have him go cliche after it…again say your peace but don’t be the jerk character who puts her boyfriend on every dangerous assignment hoping to off him and don’t yell at him in the halls because you can.
I agree with Taltos, May should have taken backup to the truck fight.
I do wonder if by the end of this Jemma will have become darker than this Fitz feels he is so that kind of puts a strain on them; sadly I can’t see it breaking them up but I just feel this season may have some flips such as Jemma is now for sure the darkest of Fitz and Simmons duo, Sarge ditches Snowflake when she thinks he won’t be most to play off the Coulson-Daisy relationship, and of course some plots won’t be playing out the way they would because time has changed…and as other said Sarge and team look bad but it’s sci-fi so are all of them really? Definitely some interesting stuff going on this season and it makes me wish this was S5 instead!
