Coulson’s history with the TAHITI project finally gets explained in this pivotal episode of [[[Agents of SHIELD]]] entitled The Writing on the Wall. The contingency plan for when an Avenger fell in battle apparently had a trial run with dying SHIELD agents as guinea pigs. How nice to see the payoff to this long-running mystery of the alien writing!

Possibilities for the City
I don’t get why they didn’t make a play for Ward before he went to the lockers; it certainly could have slowed down him getting explosives. Then they could search the place and find his stash and eliminate that spot for him; it just seems like if they wanted him why not get him then or when he was in the locker room? I know they don’t want innocents hurt but it seems like they could have at least tried something at the bus station rather than nothing; a mini action scene of some kind would have hurt I think.
What are your thoughts on the helping the woman with her bags part of the scene involving Ward; I know some fans debated he didn’t have his hand near the switch then so why not shoot him then? Again they had some small opportunities but did nothing; I know he had the explosives but why not make a reference to how they had the chance and why they didn’t then?
I don’t know if they’re setting up Bobbi and Ward to work together so much as maybe they’re setting up a fight face-off because as Dave said “It’s Bobbi Morse”. I know there’s some threads online already talking about this possible set up and who would win. Any thoughts on a fighter?
I actually think Ward looks better with a beard; not unkept cage beard look, but trim that up and it would be nice on him. Clean shaven Ward just looks extra “don’t trust him”. And I’m definitely hoping Ward stays a bad guy; at least someone who’s out for himself really because I’ll never buy him being on the team with the other members and he says he was loyal to Garrett not Hydra so a rogue in that respect could work for the character. I know he’s certainly gotten more interesting; I was not a fan of Ward during season 1 and he’s still not my favorite character but he’s way more watchable during this season I think. Let him help S.H.I.E.L.D. at times because he’s got the stalker-like obsession when Skye’s involved but also still be an advisory for them because he doesn’t believe in S.H.I.E.L.D. like the others do. What are your thoughts?
Fitz is just happy to be in the field doing more I think; it’s more progression again for him finding a place back in the group. Even though they didn’t replace him he felt that way and so it’s a chance to show he can still be useful. He’s just happy to be doing stuff.
As for Simmons, I get she doesn’t know about Coulson’s carvings because as Mike said only May and Coulson knew before Skye figured it out but is the first time she learns that the people are all GH injected? I can’t remember. Because if it then I wonder if we’ll see her talking about protection for Skye from the side effects? Wasn’t it GH she used to save her in season one? If so then it’d be good continuity as Mike mentioned having that be referenced back, Simmons worrying about Skye’s health given the way others have been responding.
I think it was seeing Thompson’s work that calmed them down; you have to see it to understand it, I don’t think they’re a hive mind. Coulson seeing it calmed him down which is why he made Sebastian look and wouldn’t let anyone stop him; each person has to see the city to calm down.
All the alien and pyramid talk makes me think the new “X-Men” movie and that end clip of Apcoylpse; I don’t know if they ever related together in the comics but it’d work as a tie-in for that film as well.
