In the beginning there was only darkness. Things changed and the emptiness was filled. Many worlds were born. There were countless variations and endless possibilities. On these Earth’s protectors began to rise. People who would look after all those citizens taking steps to fulfill their various destinies. Thus the age of heroes was born.Â
On Earth 38 the DEO is in a state of frantic action. Brainy says there are signs of a worldwide earthquake. Jâonn begins to brief the team about what the Monitor has told him. There is a wave of antimatter headed their way. This wave carries with it the power to wipe out entire Earths from existence. The next cosmic location to be effected is Argo City. Kara must find a way to warn Clark. Jâonn begins to head up an evacuation plan. They are going to need a portal. As director of the DEO Alex must make hard choices. She must go apologize and put her trust in Lena Luthor to save the innocent residents of Earth 38.Â
Like his Father before him little Johnathan Kent has to be placed in an escape pod bound for Earth 1. At the same moment Argo is consumed Harbinger grabs his parents. They are added to the group she has assembled for the Monitor. The Earth shakes and a giant tower emerges. These structures have been placed on key Earthâs. Kara and Clark work on getting the towers functioning. Oliver gathers a team to take an offensive stand. Lois, Sara and Brainy set out to find where baby Jonathan has landed
Their quest for the tiny Kryptonian takes them to Earth 16 in 2046. Sara comes face to face with a remorseful Oliver. He apologizes saying he should have never taken her on the Gambit. Sara assures Ollie that getting on that boat was not a bad thing. It led her to where she is now. It was her destiny. The team retrieves Jonathan and returns to Earth 38.Â
Upon their return the remaining heroes are facing off against a hoard of shadow demons. The Monitor said the battle is lost and resources must be conserved. Oliver refuses to give up until more people are evacuated. He had just told Mia that she must carry on and start telling her own stories. Unfortunately it looks like Oliver himself will not be around to witness it. He has given his life for Barry and Kara and the innocent souls of earth 38.Â
There is no time to grieve with the antimatter wave taking Earth after Earth without discretion. They must find the seven Paragons and then they can win the fight. In a lucky twist of fate some of the elite heroes were already among them. Sara Lance is the Paragon of Destiny. Barry Allen is the Paragon of Love. Martian Manhunter is the Paragon of Honor. Kara Danvers is the Paragon of Hope The quest is on to find three more.Â
Kara and Kate follow a lead to Earth 99 Gotham. There they find a Bruce Wayne that is broken in both body and spirit. The Kate on his Earth has died. He and Superman got in a fight that left the Man of Steel dead and Bruce crippled. Needless to say Bruce is not happy with Kateâs Kryptonian friend. As he is dying he gives Kate a Kryptonite medallion for safe keeping. Batwoman may think her mission is a failure. However upon her return Ray Palmerâs Paragon detector indicates that Kate Kane is the Paragon of Courage.Â
Lois and Clark are Earth hopping. They are trying to warn all the Supermen of the Multiverse. You see Lex Luthor is on a quest to kill them all. Among the Men of Steel dwells one who has faced more than the rest and still remains a Hero. A rouge villain took everything from this Kal El in one explosive move. Having survived this experience has made this Superman the Paragon of Truth.Â
Barry Allen can not accept Oliverâs fate.  He was prepared to die in Crisis but not for his friend to die for him. Mia and Barry go on a mission to find a Lazarus pit that has yet to be destroyed by Nyssa. Sara is very uncomfortable with this plan. She knows all too well the consequences of being submerged in that magical water. In the end she helps them because she misses Ollie too. They succeed in reviving his body. Oliverâs soul however is a different story.Â
Kara is really struggling with what has happened to her Mother and Earth. She comes very close to using the Book of Destiny despite the risks that would entail. The Monitor says to use that type of power to change an outcome could cause insanity. Kara believes her role as the Paragon of Hope means she should remain hopeful. That she can fix this immensely sad turn of events. Thank goodness Kate is there to talk her out of it. Supergirl doesnât push mystical power past the point of no return.
Living under the crimson sky of death can be pretty stressful. All you want to do is hold your loved ones close until the danger subsides. This is all Ryan Choi wants to do when Iris, Ralph and Ray come to see him. Iris is very persuasive in her argument that humans also have important roles to play in the fight to save the Earth. They need Ryan on their side. He is the Paragon of Humanity.
If there is any hope to save Oliverâs humanity they must save his soul. It is time for Constantine to make a deal with the devil. On earth 666 Constantine looks to his old friend Lucifer Morningstar. He gives them a round trip ticket to purgatory. As long as they can find Oliverâs soul before the picture on the ticket fades away.
Cisco has found the source of the antimatter wave. The monitor restores Ciscoâs vibe power and he and Barry race over to the source to try to stop the destruction. When they arrive they find Flash from Earth 90 trapped on the cosmic treadmill that is powering this disaster. Vibe is able to breech Earth 90 Flash off the treadmill but the Anti- Monitor has programmed in a fail safe. All the remaining Earths will disintegrate at once if The Flash stops running. This is the moment that Barry has prepared for. This is the mission he has been running toward. The monitor said The Flash must die in Crisis. He never said which one. Before Barry can climb upon the cosmic treadmill Earth 90 Flash temporarily steals his speed. Earth 90 Flash has led a full life and would like to give Barry the opportunity to live his.  Earth 90 Flash runs and runs until he is reduced to molecules. The only Earth left in the multiverse is saved.
Oliver will not return with his daughter and best friend. Oliver feels he has to become something else. In purgatory Oliver meets The Spector. He feels taking on this identity is his latest mission. Back on the Waverider the Anti-Monitor has infiltrated the Paragons. He takes over Harbinger and fights his alter ego the Monitor.
In the last moments of the Multiverse our Paragons are transported to the Vanishing Point. A place that exists outside of time and space. All is lost. There are no more earths. They are once again in darkness as it was in the beginning. Can the Paragons do anything to put right what has been destroyed? What will Oliver Queen contribute as The Spector? The end of the world does stop one of the most intelligent mad men in the Universe. Lex Luthor has changed his destiny putting himself in the place of the Paragon of Truth. Can our heroes restore the Multiverse? Will there be many Earths or just one? Will the cosmos soon be full again or an empty black void as far as the eye can see? Can they do it all with one of the worldâs most cunning villains in their company? We will have to wait until January 14th at 8/7c on the CW. Until then this your Green Butterfly always with her eyes to the skies!

I withhold the detailed analysis until 2020, but what I have seen so far in summary.
Episode 1. Supergirl comes off very well. Batgirl almost a non-presence. Green Arrow was flat. The Flash was almost embarrassingly written out of character.
The Monitor has to be sent back to acting school.
Maybe the best of the supporting principles is the White Canary.

Episode 2 was meh.

Episode 3 was all Oliver all the time.
Monty.
Some blog post comments…
Okay I’m going to start with an obvious question – how did Brainy not know about Crisis?
Are we to assume he’s from an alternate future where it never happened? Crisis is suppose to be a big deal so you’d think it would make the history books; is it because he’s from so far in the future he forgot about it happening when it did? Was he just too busy with everything else going on he forgot about? I actually hope yes is the answer to some question because otherwise they are continuing to really underuse that aspects him in my opinion. I’m all for Brainy not saying much because he likes the future he’s from but this seems like something worth heads upping people on; arguably he’s already changed the past by staying in it so long so why not tell them about Crisis?
Lena invented the Stargate – that’s cannon now for DC!
I still don’t get Barry as the Paragon Of Love, maybe that’s because I don’t watch “Flash” because I can only do Barry in doses but it feels like he maybe got that position because the others were taken by others.
It was fun to see Brandon in the suit again and getting props for it this time but the best Superman moment to me had to be “Smallville” Clark beating Lex by taking the fun out of it for him as Lex said, that was definitely a well done scene by Jon and Tom and felt like an organic meeting of the two. The Lena-Alex stuff from hour one is still my favorite stuff so far but this was a good moment too with the Kate-Kara content rounding out the top three. đ
They definitely need to take a moment next portion to explain why this Ryan guy is the Paragon Of Humanity because right now that feels like a tacked in title to make seven because they said earlier there were seven. What makes him special next to say Lois, Iris, or Lena?
I loved the Earths coding!
It’s definitely going to be interesting to see how long time “The Flash” viewers took the switcheroo after so much hype with the Flash disappearing was made throughout the series because on the one hand no one wants their hero to go out but on the other you know they’ll get him back because the series is called “The Flash” so why not do some drama and pay that off. This again is an example of breaking the timeline before because why would Iris write about Earth 90 Flash disappearing…why would Nora West Allen be so hostile to Barry if he was in her future? How do Flash fans feel having basically an entire season (season 5 – which I did watch because of Nora; give me that spin off or just more of that character please CW, but also bring back her friend Lea(h) because she was great and Nora needs her) rendered pointless because Nora’s big thing was spending time with Barry since he disappeared?
I had to laugh at one comment I read recently on the Crisis cliffhanger, how is the book of Destiny outdone by a sharpie? Ha.
I still find it to be poor scheduling with the event, you have a month between parts how does that make pacing sense if nothing else?! Have they explained yet why the chose to air things in this order?
On to the podcast…
Again I ask if the Monitor can just go back in time and take things like the book why can’t he stop Crisis? There’s some decent moments in this so far and it’s not horrible arguably but I have more questions with each hour than I probably should and that’s not a good thing. Overall the story feels like the characters are playing to plot more than they are a thought out progression; again it’s not Elseworlds bad but it’s not as good as I think they hoped it would be either; for me Earth X is still the best crossover event so far.
Honestly Kate Kane had to be one of the most realistic aspects of this event – not trusting strangers, asking for identities to stay quite, telling Kara the truth about the Kryptonite…it was good stuff!
“and as many of us who could get our act together are here tonight!” – ha so like the show heroes John. đ
They keep trying but I still don’t care about Clark/Superman; I’ll grant them that Lois and Clark as parents is something new so that could be interesting to check out but on the whole I’ll most likely skip their show. “This is basically a backdoor pilot” – which needs to stop John; honestly for as much as Kara is suppose to be the paragon there is way more Clark in this crossover again and I personally don’t like it. It may not be intentional but it feels like they’re forgetting about Kara in the name of Clark and I don’t like that; again how many shows and movies have there been with him? Sure again the parent era is new but still he has so many things and the parent side could be brought in with those but we have this one thing where Kara is getting a spotlight and it just feels like each time he’s involved that spotlight shifts. I’m here for Kara and company CW not another Superman project. If I want Superman content I’ll either watch “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman” or “Man Of Steel”…or Bruce Timms’ Justice League cartoons.
EASILY the best part of hour one to me was the Lena-Alex content! It’s a real bummer they disappeared after that portion. I like Kara and Kate don’t get me wrong but it would be nice to see Kara say thank you to Lena or Lena interact with her formerly dead brother to see what he says to her or see Alex and Kate interact for a moment; these crossovers are a perfect time to see characters interact with one another and do pair ups we don’t normally see yet they keep sticking the same groups together and so it really feels like a missed opportunity there.
I can agree with Geoff in that Kate is not my favorite on “Batwoman” but she is improving I think; as the season has gone for me personally she’s gotten better and is a person to watch for her responses but Alice and Mary are still the ones to get excited by each week really.
I’m with Martin, “Birds Of Prey” should have gone longer! There were some things I admit it needed to change such as the Huntress costume because that is not any Huntress costume past or present, I would have gotten rid of Shamar Moore myself because his character just did not work on the series I thought – he was great eye candy but not an attention holding character for me, and Dinah should have had the Canary Cry but on the whole it was a good show. Mia Sara as Harley Quinn and Dina Meyers as Barbara were arguably the standouts with Rachel a clear up and comer, Rachel is great in the DCU – see her killing it as Alice for another example. My bummer with the Huntress appearance was she was only in it for a hot second and it was the BOP show suit which I know I shouldn’t be surprised about but I really want to see the comic suit on screen; also her and Kara interacting on a “Supergirl” episode because they are the World’s Finest duo and they have a friendship in the comic history so while I know they want Kara and Kate to be the new Barry and Oliver I would love to see some Helena-Kara content to nod to that element of Kara’s story. I was surprised though they did Huntress’s appearance in the FLASH hour instead of the “Batwoman” one where we could have gotten more of her as an alternate planet helper. Helena can be on “Batwoman” too if they want as it’s Gotham and that’s her home base also!
Raise your hand if you love Salty Cammie. đ â?â?â?
Mick and the baby was cute.
Kingdom Come is popping up everywhere given Wonder Woman is rocking her suit in WW84 also.
I have to disagree John, the Superman versus Superman fight was bad; the visuals were just meh at best and I get their budget is being stretched on this but still it was rough, add in I felt like there was too much Superman in this already and the fact Lois didn’t really feel like herself just standing there until Iris mentioned love – it was not an enjoyable scene beyond seeing Brandon in the suit and his movie getting a shout out.
“This felt like a Superman episode with the Batman stuff being the B story” – you’re not wrong Profressor, that’s what Clark does…again this is probably why I’m not excited for his CW stuff in part, because it feels like he takes focus away from those you want to see more when he’s in things. They definitely could have used more Gotham in the “Batwoman” hour! I knew they weren’t actually going to have Batman in the crossover for long but I did expect a different version; having Kevin play him as a great touch but Bruce was a jerk in this crossover, I’m fine with a dark Batman but this felt like an extreme him and I’m not sure he’s really go all murderer like they made him out to be. Take Clark out of the game sure but kill him no.
Who would you swap out Cammie?
The Legion Of Doom could be cool to see in the universe Justina, it doesn’t just have to be “Supergirl” based especially because Grod is in it and that’s a “Flash” thing. They could have had Black Siren as one but you know they went bullcrap redemption instead. #AlwaysBitter
Again John I have to disagree with you, I thought Jon did a good job as Lex in the Smallville scene.
Oh my gosh Professor that would have been AMAZING had they done the “Lennie what are you doing here?” bit as you suggested, nice one!
With how much “Arrow” along has hyped Kord Industries in the background I’m surprised a Blue Beetle hasn’t been in a crossover at least yet!
I’m with Jess on the whole Specter thing. Also I love her going “No!” to Cammie’s cheese attempt for the set up. đ
Ugh *hard eye roll*…I can take Batman V Superman nods in crossovers but I REALLY hope they don’t bring that outside of the crossovers because again KARA AND KATE AREN’T THEIR COUSINS!!! Sadly I’m not holding my breath for this to happen because of how much like Clark “Supergirl” treats Kara at times especially but I would like to see them remember they are individuals who react differently to things than their cousins. Kate can be broody like Bruce but she doesn’t have to question Kara at every turn and Kara can dislike Kryptonite like Clark but she doesn’t have to be naive about its existence like him. To their credit they did thankfully go season 1 Kara with that scene and gave her say to keep it just in case instead of having her throw a fit like Clark would have, I just wish they’d bring that to the show more instead of again making her female Clark at times. #NoToReporterKara
Lol to Chris bagging on Barry. đ
The more I think about it the more I think they have to go back to multiple Earths, maybe not as many as they had before universe wise but for the series wise they need at least two, because just resources alone there’s no way one Earth can sustain multiple billions of people; I realize this is a universe where aliens can fly but still that’s going to be a massive plot hole for me if they say everyone is just on Earth 1 now. Not to mention you have to deal with bringing back the Pierce family for example for “Black Lightning” fans; that’s really distasteful if you have Jefferson marry another Lynn just to get the family or a cop out if you say the Monitor or Oliver brought them back just to have them survive because you need everyone in one location. Where is everyone going to work or live? How do you expect food again to last for all those people pretending they can all eat the same thing because again aliens. This is like the “Mass Effect 3” ending in that you have so many problems there’s no way this works as a satisfying conclusion; true they could just say handwave but that’s crap and I personally can’t forget that world changing event so it would be really annoying to me if they did that so the only answer is to set things back a degree to how they were before. You can merge some Earths such as maybe Kate is Earth 38 with Kara since they’re going to have them be the new friendship according to the aftershow and somehow all her people are bummed over because space since “Black Lightening” will be on Earth 1 now with Flash and Legends and then Stargirl can be an Earth when it starts so you still have many Earths but again not as many as they showed getting wiped out. They still have those dimension devices Barry passed out so it’s not like they can’t still do two show crossovers with these people if that’s what their worried about.
They can’t do the Justice League Professor – they don’t have a Wonder Woman yet unless they want to canonize that movie because WHERE WAS THAT SHOUT OUT CW?! I get they can’t use her right now, maybe because of the movie, but they can sure reference her if they wanted; I keep waiting on J’onn to mention his Amazon friend but he hasn’t yet. đ They already basically are the Justice League so I’m not in a hurry for that unless they’re going to do the full set and actually mention Diana because then yeah bring on that organization as maybe one day we can get Adrianna Palicki back in a WW suit for a guest spot. As Ryan Reynolds has proven you can be in both Marvel and DC properties, you don’t have to pick just one. đ
You know what would help Kara find hope? Her sister Alex. Where is she and Lena…not there now I now as just the paragons and Lex are left but still she was pretty absent for most of this crossover which you’d think as a top agent she’d be used more to help track down people and protect others.
“Arrow” has done a great job working in Felicity this season I have to say!
“Crisis On Earth X” is still the best crossover!!!
Best moment out of the first 3 hours? Alex and Lena in her office! Again there’s some good Kate-Kara content but for me when I think of the stuff so far my first thought is that scene because Katie and Chyler just did so wonderful and the moment felt organic to the events we’ve seen not just there because crossover; there’s just a lot to enjoy with it I thought.
“…he made Tyler’s Superman look like Superboy!” – ha Martin!
I’m with Martin, I think just a 7.5 is fair.
Great job hosting John! I enjoyed the roundtable everyone and I look forward to part 2! đ
For those who haven’t seen it yet, the “Stargirl” trailer – https://youtube.com/watch?v=Bp5Xv7QcgkM !

In DC continuity, it is canon that somewhere between the time of Booster Gold and the time of the Legion, that civilization went through the Great Burn. This is the age of Kamandi, the last boy in some continuities. In the latest Bendis version of the Legion Timeline, Called the Four-Boot Legion or Bendis changes everything to make it like a MARVEL timeline; the Earth is D.E.A.D as a result of a Suneater digesting Sol in the 29th Century and everyone human has moved to a Jonathan Hickman type artificial habitat with biomes that correspond to ancient cities on Earth. There is a Gotham World and a Metropolis World and a Central City World and a Starling City World and so forth. All records of what transpired before the Great Evacuation were snuffed with old Earth.
âLena invented the Stargate â thatâs cannon now for DC!â
Naw, that was a top secret STAR labs program in the 1960s featuring two losers named Doctors Tony Newman and Doug Philips. (Sold by Gold Key Comics in 1967)
âI still donât get Barry as the Paragon Of Love, maybe thatâs because I donât watch âFlashâ because I can only do Barry in doses but it feels like he maybe got that position because the others were taken by others.â
If you are not getting the Shazam/Seven Soldiers of Victory vibe (PUN!) then you probably need the same stuff Grant Morrison has been smoking since he took up writing Crazy Hal in the current Green Lantern book. The Seven Soldiers are a constant DC theme ever since the 2Morts invented them in 1941 (Weisinger and Meskin). The most famous incarnation is in Justice League Unlimited where I believe two of them were the COURTNEY WHITMORE and STRIPESY, her uncle, which means⌠hold on to your fedoras⌠STAR GIRL may show up in this crossover as the Luthor replacement.
âIt was fun to see Brandon in the suit again and getting props for it this time but the best Superman moment to me had to be âSmallvilleâ Clark beating Lex by taking the fun out of it for him as Lex said, that was definitely a well done scene by Jon and Tom and felt like an organic meeting of the two. I donât care what anyone suggests. Brandon Routh out-Clarked Tom Welling. Shows that Routh is a great Superman. Also shows that the actors Tyler Hoechlan and Tom Welling are âsmallsâ ville. (Another pun.) I still think Hoechlan is a stiff. Welling and Cryer worked well together.
âThey definitely need to take a moment next portion to explain why this Ryan guy is the Paragon Of Humanity because right now that feels like a tacked in title to make seven because they said earlier there were seven. What makes him special next to say Lois, Iris, or Lena?â

One of the modern Seven soldiers.
âI loved the Earths coding!â
Meh.

I want Nora back.
âI had to laugh at one comment I read recently on the Crisis cliffhanger, how is the book of Destiny outdone by a sharpie? Ha.â
Cause it is comics, Kids. (Otherwise known as Bat-guano to the editors.)

Yeah, I think the Bat-story has so far been the most true to DC canon and contained the least guano.
â âand as many of us who could get our act together are here tonight!â â ha so like the show heroes; John. â
Ever hear of that famous Barry Allen snack-food; Better Late Than Never (BLTN)? Served on a Pair of Way to Screw up the Time-line buns? PoWTSUPTL (pot-subtle) buns.

I am NOT a Tyler Hoechlan fan. He is a STIFF. And he is too small to the camera. Very much like that other piece of non-entity; Henry Cavill, who had ZERO charisma and presence e very time he put on the âSâ.
âEASILY the best part of hour one to me was the Lena-Alex content! Itâs a real bummer they disappeared after that portion. If I cannot have Karlen or Samal, how about Allen? And I do not mean Barry. Toss in Claymore for thirds and Iâm happy.
âI can agree with Geoff in that Kate is not my favorite on âBatwomanâ but she is improving I think; as the season has gone for me personally sheâs gotten better and is a person to watch for her responses but Alice and Mary are still the ones to get excited by each week really.

Not too much of Huntress and which Huntress? Mine is the Bertinelli one of Dwayne MacDuffie and Justice League. You can have Helena Wayne, but if you bring me Kara Zor L, Iâm in⌠even with a Wayne.
I love me some Power Girl.
âRaise your hand if you love Salty Cammie. ? ? ?â

âMick and the baby was cute.â
Nope.
âKingdom Come is popping up everywhere given Wonder Woman is rocking her suit in WW84 also.â
I read that nonsense. With aspidistra vacuoles like MAGOG showing up in it and a story-line a lot like the polemics we got in SG Season 4, you can have it with a match.â
âI have to disagree John, the Superman versus Superman fight was bad; the visuals were just meh at best and I get their budget is being stretched on this but still it was rough, add in I felt like there was too much Superman in this already and the fact Lois didnât really feel like herself just standing there until Iris mentioned love â it was not an enjoyable scene beyond seeing Brandon in the suit and his movie getting a shout out.â
I blame Tyler Hoechlan 100%.

Take Clark out of the game sure but kill him no.â
Kevin played Bat-jerk EXACTLY to the current DC understanding of the character. Guggenheim wrote Bruce-bat to be that Flashpoint jerk.
âWho would you swap out Cammie?â
T.Y.L.E.RâŚ..
âThe Legion Of Doom could be cool to see in the universe Justina, it doesnât just have to be âSupergirlâ based especially because Grod is in it and thatâs a âFlashâ thing. They could have had Black Siren as one but you know they went bullcrap redemption instead. #AlwaysBitter
Again John I have to disagree with you, I thought Jon did a good job as Lex in the Smallville scene.â
Cryer did well. Welling was ⌠WellâŚ. Ing.
âOh my gosh Professor that would have been AMAZING had they done the âLennie what are you doing here?â bit as you suggested, nice one!â
Cryer should have decked Welling if that happened. FUNNY!
âWith how much âArrowâ along has hyped Kord Industries in the background Iâm surprised a Blue Beetle hasnât been in a crossover at least yet!â
Iâm surprised Booster has not shown up.
âIâm with Jess on the whole Specter thing. Also I love her going âNo!â to Cammieâs cheese attempt for the set up. â
I WANT the Spectre. If for no other reason to be a look over the shoulder for John Constantine.
âUgh *hard eye roll*âŚI can take Batman V Superman nods in crossovers but I REALLY hope they donât bring that outside of the crossovers because again KARA AND KATE ARENâT THEIR COUSINS!!! Sadly Iâm not holding my breath for this to happen because of how much like Clark âSupergirlâ treats Kara at times especially but I would like to see them remember they are individuals who react differently to things than their cousins. Kate can be broody like Bruce but she doesnât have to question Kara at every turn and Kara can dislike Kryptonite like Clark but she doesnât have to be naive about its existence like him. To their credit they did thankfully go season 1 Kara with that scene and gave her say to keep it just in case instead of having her throw a fit like Clark would have, I just wish theyâd bring that to the show more instead of again making her female Clark at times. #NoToReporterKaraâ
Claymore.
âLol to Chris bagging on Barry. â
Why not? Iris (Candice Patton) sure does in episodes.
âThe more I think about it the more I think they have to go back to multiple Earths, maybe not as many as they had before universe wise but for the series wise they need at least two, because just resources alone thereâs no way one Earth can sustain multiple billions of people; I realize this is a universe where aliens can fly but still thatâs going to be a massive plot hole for me if they say everyone is just on Earth 1 now. Not to mention you have to deal with bringing back the Pierce family for example for âBlack Lightningâ fans; thatâs really distasteful if you have Jefferson marry another Lynn just to get the family or a cop out if you say the Monitor or Oliver brought them back just to have them survive because you need everyone in one location. Where is everyone going to work or live? How do you expect food again to last for all those people pretending they can all eat the same thing because again aliens. This is like the âMass Effect 3âł ending in that you have so many problems thereâs no way this works as a satisfying conclusion; true they could just say hand-wave but thatâs crap and I personally canât forget that world changing event so it would be really annoying to me if they did that so the only answer is to set things back a degree to how they were before. You can merge some Earths such as maybe Kate is Earth 38 with Kara since theyâre going to have them be the new friendship according to the aftershow and somehow all her people are bummed over because space since âBlack Lighteningâ will be on Earth 1 now with Flash and Legends and then Stargirl can be an Earth when it starts so you still have many Earths but again not as many as they showed getting wiped out. They still have those dimension devices Barry passed out so itâs not like they canât still do two show crossovers with these people if thatâs what their worried about.â
Cause it is comics, Kids. (Otherwise known as Bat-guano to the editors.)
âThey canât do the Justice League Professor â they donât have a Wonder Woman yet unless they want to canonize that movie because WHERE WAS THAT SHOUT OUT CW?! I get they canât use her right now, maybe because of the movie, but they can sure reference her if they wanted; I keep waiting on Jâonn to mention his Amazon friend but he hasnât yet. They already basically are the Justice League so Iâm not in a hurry for that unless theyâre going to do the full set and actually mention Diana because then yeah bring on that organization as maybe one day we can get Adrianna Palicki back in a WW suit for a guest spot. As Ryan Reynolds has proven you can be in both Marvel and DC properties, you donât have to pick just one. â?
Ryan Reynolds can play Dead Fool. His Crazy Hal was neurotic and moronic. Let Marvel keep him.
âYou know what would help Kara find hope? Her sister Alex. Where is she and LenaâŚnot there now I now as just the paragons and Lex are left but still she was pretty absent for most of this crossover which youâd think as a top agent sheâd be used more to help track down people and protect others.â
Cause it is comics, Kids. (Otherwise known as Bat-guano to the editors.)
âArrowâ has done a great job working in Felicity this season I have to say!â
I feel about Felicity, the way I was about Chloe Sullivan⌠kind of ewwwwccccchhhhh.
âCrisis On Earth Xâ is still the best crossover!!!â
Case can be made. Mine was made at the time that it was a 3/3/3 out of 5/5/5.
âBest moment out of the first 3 hours? Alex and Lena in her office! Again thereâs some good Kate-Kara content but for me when I think of the stuff so far my first thought is that scene because Katie and Chyler just did so wonderful and the moment felt organic to the events weâve seen not just there because crossover; thereâs just a lot to enjoy with it I thought.â
Allen.
âââŚhe made Tylerâs Superman look like Superboy!â â ha Martin!â
Not a Tyler Hoechlan fan.
âIâm with Martin, I think just a 7.5 is fair.â
Reserve judgement. If Stargirl pops in, rememberâŚ
âGreat job hosting John! I enjoyed the roundtable everyone and I look forward to part 2!
For those who havenât seen it yet, the âStargirlâ trailer â https://youtube.com/watch?v=Bp5Xv7QcgkM !â
Looking forward to Courtney. She has a âtestyâ relationship with a certain KryptonianâŚ

Monty
“I want Nora back.” – personally I hope she’s the spin off for Flash Monty and again we get the actress who played Lea(h) back also because I loved their chemistry! I might actually watch a Flash show long term if Nora was there; bonus for Killer Frost being in the series as a recurring guest! And just because we’re talking spin offs, like 5 years down the line if “Supergirl” talks spin offs I want there’s to be Alex Danvers based because you can’t have enough of her and especially her played by Chyler Leigh! đ
The actors got the part and I didn’t so I tend not to hold acting against someone unless it’s really bad; I don’t know what it is about this Clark and Lois but I’m just not as excited by them. There was a moment I liked Lois in this when she talked to Monitor on the ship but it was really brief, maybe it’s because they’re trying to force them so much into things that’s turning me off in part but I just am not crazy about them like the network wants me to be. I liked Henry Cavill but that’s me. đ
Are you anagramming Alex and Lena to be Allen? No. đ There is already a name for them I believe and it’s Agent Corp; I would take Lena/Alex as an option because that has been interesting since season two. I appreciate Maggie Sawyer so much for helping Alex get even a little therapy so she doesn’t drown herself in alcohol each week but the shadow of Kate Kane and Maggie Sawyer as a couple looms large and so I could only ever go so in with Sanvers. I still lean towards Agent Arias (Sam/Alex) because for starters Alex wants kids, Sam has a kid and two: lollipop eye sex…also Sam if notice was always telling Lena they should bring in Alex so, but I could take Lena/Alex – it’s the closest to SuperCorp I think the fandom would get but I don’t know if the Kara/Lena fans would take anything other than them together so. I’m enjoying Alex/Kelly but I still they’re more friends with benefits right now than I could buy them long term; if they showed us Kelly more as an individual and what she’s like beyond just Alex’s love interest I might get more into them but for now my loyalty is mainly with Agent Arias!
Helena Bertinelli is definitely my Huntress! I personally enjoy the “Justice League Unlimited” version because bonus points she’s voiced by Amy Acker who I enjoy, but my most known version comes from Gail Simone’s “Birds Of Prey” comics. Greg Rucka’s “Batman/Huntress: Cry For Blood” is also a great read featuring Bertinelli!
“Arrow” I heard at a point was in talks to use Booster Monty but the rights got locked down because of rumors he was going to get his own show in the future but it never came to be.
“Cause it is comics, Kids. (Otherwise known as Bat-guano to the editors.)” – bringing it back near the end, I like it Monty. đ

I approve of your caution. Only one person in a thousand has the guts to think he or she can act through a camera. Only one of those in a thousand has the actual talent. Similar odds for directors, casters and scriptwriters. And incidentally for those with technical knowledge, it may be only one in a thousand who knows roses from manure when it comes to any of this stuff when it is time to ANALYZE process failure.
BUT… I know, so my opinion for me is backed by such technical schooling. It does not mean my opinion is valid for anyone but me. Murphy, it is not worth any more than anyone else’s, but it is not an uninformed opinion. I actually know the technical reasons for the difference between camera presence and a HUGE hole occupied by an animated manikin who takes a good still photograph but is DEAD SPACE in a filmed kinetic environment. Tyler Hoechlan is such dead space. He is just there. Let me show you one indicator for what to notice. Look at his profile close up shots in “Crisis” and you will instantly recognize a “plastic” quality to him; as if he came out of a human-sized Ken-doll mold. There is nothing “HUMAN” there at all for the camera to catch. No definition, no delineation, no character at all.
I suppose I learned this lesson about such details best in school when taking apart why Stanley Donlen failed with that piece of Celluloid Manure called “Kiss Them For Me”. It is true that he had utter incompetents to help screw it all up; in the likes of Robert Simpson (editor), Milton Krasner (photography; that is scene set and shoot and storyboard), Owen McLean (who screwed up the casting something awful, such that he was fired off the film after Suzy Parker gave her [sarcasm] sterling performance.) and three incompetent second unit men (directors) who were also fired in rapid succession; David Hall, Mike Salumunovich and Harry Sherman (They mismatched film pace and scene looks against each other.). The guy who turned in the shooting script, Julius Epstein, took a career damaging hit for the illogical and story-less script: BUT the real bolo that hides all these epic disasters; was what passed through the camera when Suzy Parker, a clothes rack (professional model/manikin), “tried” to act. Put a block of wood into Cary Grant’s arms and the camera would have registered better effect. I mean that is the go-to lesson for what a hole in a scene, caused by a human being with ZERO presence, actually looks like.
This is exactly what I see with Tyler Hoechlan. Exactly zero throughput the camera he has. He is so negative a presence that he actually damages the entire production around him, story, characters and PLOT. Go back and watch him closely and look for how “plastic” and artificial he looks, actually like a piece of badly drawn unfinished CGI.
Trust me, when a drawn in character, Killer Shark or Grodd on the Flash, has more “presence” in scene than Hoechlan, then someone has seriously screwed up as caster, makeup artist and/or director. As for Hoechlan, he needs to give up acting and do something more useful with his life. I mean store manikin dummy would not be a bad career choice for him.
I think I’ve previewed for you what I think could be the final result of “Crisis” for me, if Hoechlan is not back-scened for the last two hours.
