Welcome back to Maid of Steel! Our lovely Scarlet Cougar, aka Karen, is back and rearin’ to talk Supergirl. And that’s a good thing, because this week we tackle Supergirl Season 3 Episode 5 “Damage” which originally aired on the CW on Monday November 6, 2017. The events of the season 2 finale, in which Supergirl teamed up with Lena to release a lead bomb in order to purge Earth of all Daxamites, are finally addressed. Kids around National City are getting sick with what appears to be lead poisoning and Morgan Edge is pointing his big ol’ evil finger at Lena, which, of course, makes the rest of the city point too. Luckily, Supergirl and Reign don’t know they’re enemies yet and teamup to uncover the truth about why these kids are sick and prove Lena’s innocence.

Welcome back Karen! π
I’m surprised they didn’t gray skin Reign at least but maybe Odette was allergic to body paint or it just saved budget wise.
Reign has been an awesome plot so far; I look forward to the fan reactions to her once that side really comes out – will she be a villain only or might some see her as an anti-hero?
It’s always fun having Karen flex her comic knowledge! π
A great conversation about “forgiveness versus permission”!
I call bull if Lena doesn’t know Kara is Supergirl, that’s like Cat not knowing; I’m hoping she’s waiting for Kara to tell her because of the family history because if she really doesn’t know then I question Lena’s intellect beyond math and science.
I think S3 has been really good so far.
I think the Reign split won’t just affect Lena-Kara but also Kara-Alex as Alex will want to help Sam because of Ruby and because it’s very easy to think if people turn on her they’ll turn on Kara and she doesn’t want that so I think Reign will be a challenge for the sisters as well and that’ll be interesting to see.
I AGREE Kara is not Clark so I’d be okay with her killing Edge if it needed to come to that, that said if they went there I’d want to see a full season or at least half dedicated to tackling that event because while Kara can kill she’s still a good guy and it would both her. Alex killed Morrow but Kara killed Parasite; I’m actually surprised they didn’t touch on a kill then as Kara tried to save the guy before hand but it was the only way to stop him in the moment.
I miss “Phrasing!” in spoilers break.
