It is time for DC tv to turn the page and enter life after Arrow. What will happen next? Only the people in the writers room know for sure. Flash and Supergirl had to end their season abruptly due to the real life super villain Covid-19. Batwoman lost their leading lady. A new caped crusader will protect Gotham now. She is poised to lead off the new season January 17th. Superman and Lois launches on the CW on February 23rd and Flash speeds ahead with new episodes on the same night.
Silver Vox and Green Butterfly are joined by all their Super Friends as we discuss and speculate what is next for our favorite characters. Sadly for our beloved Maid of Steel no return date has been set. She is not alone as both Stargirl and Legends of Tomorrow do not have a specific 2021 start date. The silver lining of this split schedule is it looks as though we will be getting new superhero stories all year long. Let’s ring in the New Year with a fun discussion. Green Butterfly is hoping for tons of super stories yet to come as we enter 2021.

We want you to be part of the podcast! After a new episode airs, head over to our feedback site and drop us a quick line, or record a short voicemail, reacting to the events of the episode. What was interesting to you? What stood out? What did the episode do well or, perhaps, what did it not do well? We rely on your input to help round out our conversation and anticipate the opportunity to include your thoughts and theories!
Some blog post comments…
I’d love to see them team up “Stargirl” and “Supergirl” for the schedule but I feel due to themes it will be “Supergirl” and “Batwoman” again while Legends does “Stargirl” as its partner for the schedules.
“Get your feedback to us by January 12 to be included in the podcast for our look back at Season 2, Episodes 14 and 15, “Homecoming,” and “Exodus.”” – yay! Break out that “Midvale II” discussion paper John because this is the perfect time to discuss it more! 😀 This is guaranteed to get all the Jeremiah discussions going again. 🙂
On to the podcast…
Martin…it’s been so long! 🙂
You say Godspeed but all I hear is Nora. Can we get a spin off with her? That’s a Flash I could watch during more than just specials. 🙂
“Flash” is suppose to be the new lead series so I don’t think it ends at 7; maybe 9 but not seven.
Season five of “Supergirl” was hot garbage! 🙁
Season four of “Arrow” was not bad; I disagree with you all there.
Favorite SUPERGIRL character: easily Alex Danvers!!!
Oh Legends…it continues to disappoint me time and time again. First they refuse to acknowledge Nyssa really and then they don’t do Charlie/Zari which is RIGHT THERE! *sigh* I just can’t with this show.
“Stargirl” has the best season one after “Supergirl” season one to me.
My hopes for “Stargirl” season two are 1) we see more of Artemis Crock and she gets to be an anti hero because the CW SO needs to embrace those as not everyone is goodie good but also not evil McEvilson either – see Alex Danvers, Lyla Michaels, and Black Siren! 2) They embrace the plot of Courtney/Yolanda – they are girlfriends you can’t convince me otherwise. 🙂 3) Mike can be on the team but please don’t give him an artifact!
Yolanda is probably my favorite for “Stargirl” so far.
Rick can help Beth rebuild Chuck and then we get HourNite. 🙂
I think season two of “Batwoman” is going to be more formulaic now without Kate; so much centered around her and her relationship to others that without her it’ll just seems more like a general comic book series, kind of like Legends, instead of being a family driven one with all the complexities that brings like a “Stargirl” or “Supergirl”.
I fully agree Geoff, they should have just recasted Kate!
Alice stole the season with season one! Rachel belongs in the DCU for sure!
“I don’t care! They gave him a ring: they have to do it.” – seconded Harley. 🙂
“GCPD” sounds like a repeat of “Gotham”.
😐 If y’all turn Maid Of Steel into Man Of Steel…we are going to have problems I will just tell you now (don’t give into Martin’s joke); you can podcast about the series under a different name but you better pick a different name for sure because yeah I’m still kind of bitter about the timing so if MOS changed I think that would be the bridge too far for me. Ha.
We don’t need Clark on our series!
John I LOVE what you said about keeping MOS Kara centric! 🙂 The only thing it better roll into is the Alex spin off otherwise let it go when the show goes and become a new podcast for your next project.
I’m so glad you worked in a comment at least for “Green Arrow & The Canaries” because yes it’s in limbo still and may never really move from there but it deserved a shout out at least so thank you for that Martin. 🙂 Julianna use to post, and Katie to an extend, fan art for the series on her Instagram but that’s really almost stopped so it doesn’t make you think it’s going to happen which is sad. It’s “Arrow” related and a fresh character series so with all the new stuff you think the CW would be jumping on it especially with all the old shows they’re letting go, but they haven’t greenlit it yet sadly.
A fun roundtable.
Thanks for the feedback Aaron!
