Unleashed on Gotham City and ready for vengeance, Azrael is ready to kill James Gordon and Bruce Wayne. Meanwhile Bruce is unleashed from Alfred to find the info he needs about Hugo Strange, but he will have let Selina be unleashed to do so. Read more…
Azrael Unleashed:
Theo has been unleashed on Gotham by Hugo and Ms. Peabody. But he has failed to accomplish his task of killing James Gordon. He needs a weapon worthy of his vengeful spirit. Going to a church and finding no suitable weapons there, he heads to the Dumas Crypt. He finds Jim, Harvey and Tabitha there ahead of him. He gets Jim out of the crypt, takes Harvey out and is left with Tabitha. Tabitha tries to break through to her brother. She reminds him of their past before the Order’s monks took him away. But that is a double edged sword. Theo has a flashback and remembers their orders to kill the Son of Gotham Bruce Wayne and that Tabitha betrayed him.
He takes up his true sword and stabs his sister. He takes her whip and leaves to follow the true calling to kill Bruce. He has been unleashed from some of Hugo’s programing but it is not good news for Bruce. Tabitha tells Jim the bad news and Jim is off to protect Bruce.
Bruce and Alfred are securing Wayne Manor after Jim’s call, but it is too late. Azrael has come! Alfred puts up a mighty good sword fight with Azrael but gets knocked out the window. Bruce escapes to the extensive garage and takes Azrael out for a drive the hard way. Jim shows up in time to wound Azrael but not kill him. The Penguin and Butch show up and finish the job with a rocket launcher.
Team Wayne Unleashed:
Bruce is bound and determined to find out more about Hugo and knows Jim and the law can’t do it. Alfred knows what is best and Bruce is unleashed to find the help he needs. He goes to Selina. She wants nothing to do with Bruce’s crusade against Hugo until Bruce connects the dots for her. Hugo had Theo who is now Azrael. Hugo had Victor who is now Mr. Freeze. Hugo has Bridget. This gets her going but she says she must do it alone.
Selina hops a laundry truck to Arkham and takes the vents in. There she runs into Ed. Forensics Guy meeds Street Trash Girl and they make a compromise to get both what they want. Ed has seen the undead horrors in the basement and wants to get out. Selina wants to free her friend. Info is swapped and they head off. Ed is captured on the roof.
Selina fairs worse. She discovers the training room for Indian Hill’s creations. She is confronted by Bridget but Bridget has been well programed by Hugo. Only Firefly is there and Selina is now in the hot seat. Hugo and Peabody are moving the creations and labs of Indian Hill but not too busy to watch the Firefly experiment in progress.
Jim and Harvey have confronted Hugo but he is way ahead of them. Back at the GCPD Harvey is giving orders and everyone is looking to him with Barnes in the hospital. With Jim’s encouragement Bullock is unleashed to give his speech and fire up the GCPD. Jim realizes the only way to find Theo is Tabitha.
Tabitha is ready to skip town despite Butch’s pleading. But Jim convinces her to help. She shares the Azrael lore and history of the sword. They head off to get it before Theo does to disastrous results.
Team Penguin Unleashed:
Oswald has seen Theo on TV and he has broken out of his daze. The Penguin suits up and heads to get info from Tabitha. Butch is distraught and is declaring his love to a comatose Tabitha. Oswald works out an uneasy alliance with Butch. All of them have been hurt by Theo and Butch agrees to help. Vengeance will be unleashed on Theo and no harm will come to Tabitha.
The Penguin and Butch show up and Oswald gives a great speech. Bullets cannot kill Theo and not even an umbrella can. But Butch’s bazooka will do just fine.
Final Thoughts:
We now have one episode left before the finale. We have had one of the two big bad’s of the season blown out of the story, literally! We are left with Hugo the puppet master/Frankenstein. We know that he has Mr. Freeze, Firefly, the big inmate from tonight’s ep and more waiting to be unleashed. The question is can the rest of Gotham’s heroes and villains come to together to stop him? I don’t know, But if you have watched the promo (pasted in the news section below), you know one of our lease favorite characters is returning. I hope they fry that character before the season ends. Because this season was too good to have them come back and ruin it.
