Looks like Extant is not going to hold off on revealing secrets too long, and we’re grateful for it! In Extinct, investigations continue into what happened to Molly during her year in space to cause her to return pregnant. Ethan makes some discoveries about his mother’s secret that may lead him down an unexpected path, while we learn more about what makes the young android tick. Director Sparks and the ailing Yasumoto have their own secrets as well, and we’ll spend a good portion of the season, no doubt, wondering who “they” are. Read more…

Despite the fact that we knew much of the content of the premiere episode of Extant based on the promotional material, there were still plenty of surprises in Re-Entry. The identity of the “man in the shadows” in particular got my eyebrows to pop up. Pilots are a tricky business: how do you balance all the exposition with an engaging, action-packed narrative? Luckily, the series premiere had just the right amount of both as well as many discussable mysteries that are perfect for a podcast. Read more…
