In this episode we review the Firefly episode, “The Train Job.” We discuss the character development in this episode, the lack of aliens in Firefly and we share our thoughts on how this episode would have worked as a series Pilot. We give Clint the challenge of matching up Adam Baldwin with Michael Douglas in our 6 degrees segment.

When will episode 3 be posted?
Im so glad that the ietnrnet allows free info like this!
We release an episode every Sunday so Episode 003 will be posted on June 12.
So, is the posting of episodes out of order an homage to Firefly?
When I listened to the first firefly podcast they explained that the network originally aired the shows out of their intended order… We are now watching them in their intended order AND the order that they are listed on netflix…
Mel, we ARE still doing Firefly in the proper order. What happened is that we recorded Episosde #2 Firefly-The Train Job, then we recorded Episode #3-Firefly-Bushwacked, and then we recorded Episode #4-Time Travel Movies: Star Trek. However, based on our release schedule, we should have recorded The Train Job, Star Trek, then Bushwacked. Because we recorded them in the wrong order, they are getting released in #2, #4, #3 order. We’ll make sure we don’t record them in the wrong order again. I hope that makes sense. 😉
Hi guys! So I am finally watching Firefly after Darrell and Jeremy have been talking about it so much on the Revolution podcast. I love it so far! I am also going back and listening to your Cutting The Cable reviews on the episodes, which adds a lot to my watching experience! However, I was yelling at my car stereo today during the “6 Degrees” segment for “The Train Job”. So Clint put Baldwin – Kubrick – Nicholson together and I thought “Perfect! Michael Douglas WON AN OSCAR for One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest!” But then he kept going, working back to Douglas via Devito. Michael Douglas took home the Oscar for “Best Picture” because he was Executive Producer (along with Paul Zaentz) for “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”. You were closer than you thought Clint!!
