The New Rogues
CCU 73 Season 3 Episode 4
THE NEW ROGUES
Season 3 continues to deliver solid entertainment! Here are some thoughts from Joe –
Wells, Wells, Wells! (See what I did there?) Admit it…you REALLY wanted to see Wild West Harrison aka Hells Wells on the team, even for just a single episode. The show could use a dose of the rip-roarin’!If you’d told me that in this episode, the introduction of Mirror Master would be the thing that excited me the second most, I’d have laughed in your face. Mirror Master, for goodness sake! The Rogue I’ve most been waiting for since the show began! AND they even gave a nod to my personal favorite version of MM, Evan McCulloch! I admit, I’m still holding out hope of seeing him…mayhap w/ Henry Ian Cusick in the role…ANYWAY, as much fun as having Mirror Master traipsing about w/ a gender-switched Top, what really captured my attention was the introduction of an all-new, all-different Harrison Raggamuffin Wells (I’m just guessing on his middle name). H.R. (already dubbed by many as Hipster Wells) brings a light, jocular energy to the team…and many are already dubious of him. There’s just something about ANY Wells that says “trust only so far”. Many are already guessing as to which super-villain he may in fact be. Ooooooh man, I’m I hoping for Abra Kadabra. Yes, yes…it’s a silly villain name but trust me, he’s awesome. And could eventually lead to Tom Cavanaugh wearing a long, pointy mustache. You know that’s what you wanna see.
So – wondering what The Top and Mirror Master looked like in the comics? Here are a couple of versions:
Also, here’s a cool thing from DC that is a map to their Mulitiverse! Check it out!
AND – for an even CRAZIER look at the MANY MANY versions of Earth that have existed in the DC Universe, check out this comprehensive Wikipedia list of Earths that WERE, and what they’ve changed into
with the many re-boots the DC Universe has gone through! This made my head spin.
Next week we’re back with another great new episode, Monster, on Tuesday. Feedback Deadline is Wednesday at Midnight, so share your thoughts at 304-837-2278!
