[sc:astop]Cammien Ray and Martin the Flash chat about legacies and heroism in this week’s Diggle-centric episode of Arrow! Reveals and information a loooong time coming finally is revealed as we learn not just where Diggle has come from, but where he and his family will end up.
This season Arrow will be airing on Mondays at 8pm ET. Our podcast episodes will be posted the following Wednesday, so we can accept email/voice feedback through Tuesday afternoon – and maybe an early Tuesday evening submission might make it in if you’re quick. 🙂

Well at least it didn’t suck as much as last week!
I don’t understand how they can do something so in character one week but fail so hard last week. It’s probably because John’s whole arc didn’t get forced on him by another character he had no reason to want to impress. Yeah I’m always going to be bitter about the handling of Laurel and Black Siren.
That is totally fair Flash to say this episode felt a bit “too little, too late” because it’s only doing an information dump for John now that he’s leaving thus they can’t really touch on things fans may find interesting with the reveals so why should you as a fan be that excited; had this happened in season 4 or even season 5/6 so you had some time to really expand on it it would be more exciting but as is it’s just “Great! Where was this before the last hour?!”. Emiko’s plot really felt that way to me also this episode as normally you know they’d drag out the whole thing with Daunte about could he convince her he didn’t kill her mother before one or the other kills each other but because we’re in the finally 3 episodes it’s just rush rush rush so it’s more a highlights version each week rather than a better paced out plot that leaves you feeling satisfied. They’re just trying to do too much near the end and while the ideas are good the execution is very hit and miss.
We had an awesome villain for this season but they screwed it up for a bogus redemption. #AlwaysBitter!
For me William is the most interesting part of the future stuff. 🙂 Real talk: I’m enjoying the Nora future stuff on “Flash” more than I am some future stuff for “Arrow”. I love Felicity and adult William and Dinah occasionally makes me happy to see her when she’s consistent week to week in them, I also love her with Zoe, but as a whole I’m finding Nora’s stuff to be more a show I’d watch as a whole versus for parts. I’m completely over “Oliver” Barry though so if he shows up that will be their bad point because Barry just does not work trying to channel Oliver. I’m learning with the CW “season regular” ranges from anything between a recurring season guest star more than a episode guest star time and an actual season regular like say Nora on “Flash” or Sam on “Supergirl” last season; Roy is getting the Maggie season regular treatment where he’s more a recurring guest for the season than episode guest like say Katrina usually is.
Oh imagine if this had been done in season four – we’d have a better plot than Damien, who was well acted and had potential but the execution again just didn’t work with him as they often had him restrained when dealing with the characters (kind of like adult Grace on FLASH this year not taking people out even though she can), and Laurel wouldn’t have to needlessly die a stupid death so they would have her still instead of forcing her identity onto another character and erasing them in a dumb way. I approve of your rewrite season choice Cammie! 🙂
Re Green Lantern: fan service Flash. 🙂 He might suit up in a crossover but outside of that David won’t be playing Green Lantern I feel; I won’t say he never will but I’m not holding my breath. If they do make Diggle Lantern then I know some “Black Lightening” fans would love to see him related to the mom there because I think she’s a Stewart also so that could be some nice nods if they do that after the Crisis event. If they had GL on “Arrow” he would definitely over shadow him on the power front.
“Dragon, who does nothing…” – LOL but accurate Cammie!
I wouldn’t be surprised if we see old Alena in the future now just to wrap up the whole debate over Archer we see this week as someone let it out and odds are it was her at this point.
They better not bring back Daunte!
I’m with Flash, it makes sense JJ is jealous of Connor thus he acted out; nothing else really makes sense currently. Also what a bummer for Diggle as he’s basically having to deal with flashes of he and Andy all over again. 🙁
