[sc:astop]As the title of the season 6 premiere of Arrow suggests, Oliver Queen is left to deal with the fallout of the island explosion, both from the position of the Green Arrow, and also as the mayor of Star City. Familiar and unfamiliar villain faces stand in his way, as the story of what happened on the island unfolds, and we’re left with the answer to the question we’ve had all summer: who from Team Arrow survives?
This fall and spring Arrow will be airing on a NEW night on Thursdays at 8pm ET. Our podcast episodes will be posted the following Saturday/Sunday, so we can accept email/voice feedback through Friday night – and maybe an early Saturday morning submission might make it in if you’re quick. 🙂

Was it just me or did Oliver jumping off the bridge to save Renee remind anyone of the “Deadpool” or “S.W.A.T.” bridge scenes?
William saying Oliver was the bad man was so cliché for “Arrow” I felt, William is suppose to be in his early teens at least and he didn’t get Prometheus was the bad guy in the situation? I get being mad at Oliver as well but to have the finger point moment I just had to roll my eyes in that moment. Their situation also feels inorganic because Sam spent all this time keeping them apart yet now it’s like her dying wish they live together? I call out of character on that. Stephen did great in the scenes as dad Oliver though as Flash said and the kid playing William did well but they gave him such cliche things in my opinion his scenes were my least favorite parts of the episode…along with not knowing what happened to Nyssa.
I agree it was great to see consequences to the island as often times we don’t get that with series – you might have an episode or so that addresses it but after that they move on but it seems this will be a season thing for some members.
I agree Black Siren is awesome so far; I agree with Flash in that Katie is killing this version but to be fair to her they didn’t give Laurel anything to to do in S4 – she felt really disconnected from the group. Laurel’s sadly always felt kind of like a love interest to me rather than getting to be a hero in her own right…it felt like at times just when she’d start coming into her own they’d have something come up that knocks her back to just Oliver’s ex so it was hard to really get into Laurel at times. Katie’s acting was always fine but the character just had a rough go so I’m looking forward to her showcasing her skills as Black Siren!
It’s true Diggle could have issues from the blast, but could some of it still be from shooting Andy? That shook him up a lot so I’m wondering if that’s part of it still. Maybe it’s a combo?
While I’m happy for Dinah regarding her promotion I am sad she got promoted as well as it means no more her in the uniform and let’s be honest she is hot in that uniform!
I’m going to put Flash on the spot: who’s hotter Felicity or Dinah? Cammie as a villain you are allowed to disregard the rules and pick both. 🙂
Lol to Cammie talking Dinah/Diggle at the end, “The CW totally does that for just friends!”.
I get the comic connection to outting Oliver but I’m wondering if they’ve thought about the wide scale effects of such a move; if Oliver is outted how does he avoid jail time for crimes that can be linked to the Arrow/Green Arrow such as destruction of property (that group loves to blow stuff up)? Would the group have to avoid contact with him for fear of being outted as well? If Dinah is linked to the new Black Canary because of Oliver’s outting how might that effect her cases as Detective Drake given some criminals might argue she captured them outside of regulations? There’s a lot of great organic drama they do because of Oliver being revealed but sadly I doubt they’ll go there just because it would mean a lot more complex writing to work things out thus I kind of hope they get him off again.
Thea’s faith will of course depend on Willa’s schedule and how much they want to keep Thea in play even if she steps away.
A good return episode and I look forward to the season thoughts!
