Nice cover photo.
I have to call the elevator scene out a bit, I love them saving each other but Oliver so wouldn’t have been able to pull Felicity up that high at that point – I know he’s strong but he also lost a lot of blood and had muscle exhaustion setting in so a good scene but definitely one you have to suspend belief on I feel.
I don’t know what Flash is going to do when Felicity and Dinah have a scene together but I’m sure his reaction will be good. Ha.
I’m still waiting for Palmer Tech to get into a lawsuit with Felicity and Curtis and take back the chip because while it’s Curtis’s idea and work he did it arguably on Palmer Tech time and with their resources so they have at least 50% ownership as well; we saw the lawyers in S4 tell Felicity it wasn’t her property to take and they had a right to copy it it so maybe we’ll see that return and thus Felicity will be back in the chair for a bit. Again I just really hope they never forget Felicity’s injury and act like things such as EMPs don’t affect her unless they make it clear Curtis upgraded the chip because too often we see injured characters being healed and the injuries only coming back for plot drama when they need to have tension instead of it seeming like an organic moment because this has been a recurring theme because they’ve shown the character effected daily versus “I’m injured! Character is healed and nothing bothers them because it’s like the injury never happened. Oh how can we have quick drama for tension – injury is back!” – it makes it feel inconsistent so here’s hoping we don’t see that with Felicity and her plot is more organic with the lawyers wanting the chip and Curtis having to make various versions of it to try and combat EMP levels and such. I’m not surprised Felicity was walking by the end of the episode but I’d been okay if she wasn’t instead. As Cammie said at least they did go out of their way to make it clear another surgery was needed to fix the chip completely!
Yes to bringing back baby Sara! I’m definitely worried for Lyla given she’s always just been a guest star so she’s one you could lose for dramatic effect but not have it be as huge a loss as say Diggle going out would effect the team, clearly it would effect John but beyond him and Oliver and Felicity mourning their friend it wouldn’t be an impactful loss to the newbies where as say Thea would at least get to Renee and Curtis a bit. It definitely be sad if Thea left but they haven’t been using her much as of late so they might write her off as well; just because a character leaves doesn’t mean you have to kill them so Thea could continue her journey of discovery away from the group and then show up later…maybe Curtis picks trying to win Paul back over being Mr. Terrific so he leaves although I think he might stay. It’s definitely easier right now to say who will stay versus who will go and how they might exit. I agree with Flash, I would have liked to have seen Dinah do more regarding the rescue of Oliver and Felicity.
Great points about Lyla obtaining a T-Shpere!
I’m definitely excited to see Nyssa back, if LOT isn’t going to use her then let “Arrow” rock her! No to William on the show beyond very scattered guest appearances. Emily and Stephen do have great chemistry! You two have definitely been awesome regarding civility on this podcast!
