This week brings Team Arrow not one but three villains to contend with, in the form of familiar faces who recently escaped from Iron Heights prison: Cupid, China White, and Liza Warner. As Diggle, Felicity, and the rest of the team must find and stop the trio of villainesses before they rampage Star City, Oliver and his administration are in jeopardy again, as reporter Susan is approaching her biggest story yet: Oliver Queen is the Green Arrow. To complicate matters, the Green Arrow is now Star City’s most wanted for the death of Billy Malone, leaving the protection of Oliver’s identity and the team’s safety in perhaps unlikely hands.
Listen in to hear Cammie and The Flash discuss “The Sin-Eater” (5×14). As always we love getting feedback from the Arrow Squad members so please send in your thoughts too!

I LOVE the blog post photo; that was a great synchronized walk in that scene!
Yay for more Lyla! If they have Tricia on the show and she plays Dinah’s sister I wonder if they’ll treat it like “Bones” did the Deschanel sisters where the running joke was they thought they looked nothing alike even though everyone else did or will they be more straight laced and just let everyone talk about how great the casting by Martin was? 🙂 Since he probably wouldn’t get an official show title for that casting maybe Tricia’s character could be nicknamed Marty as a nod to him. Be happy Flash, you’ve got me into this campaign! Although I wouldn’t hate Cammie’s casting role for Tricia as Dinah’s girlfriend either.
I agree with Martin regarding Dinah, she’s been a great addition so far. Sara and Laurel had great moments too. I definitely hope Dinah continues on the series and continues to be played by
Juliana Harkavy!
Clearly this is going to be another running theme of agreeing with you both because I have to agree with Martin in the sense that China White felt very bland to me…she could have been replaced with any other villainess and I don’t it would have changed a thing in this episode as Cupid was clearly the humor/wildcard and Liza felt like the boss, China came off as just there to make a cool trio as I can’t remember one moment of hers that stood out in this episode where as again with Cupid I remember humorous moments such as grabbing the arrow back because they’re expensive and with Liza I remember it feeling like her crusade more than the others. As Cammie said I’d take seeing them back for sure but if China is going to be with them I’d like to see her feel more a part of the mission. I’m not surprised the characters were handcuffed a bit fight wise as it’s not the first time this has happened on “Arrow”, if they were doing accurate leveling as they say Nyssa would have beaten Oliver several times over given all the training she’s been through; I know he’s been through a lot as well but she’s been trained by the bests in fields as well. I know Oliver is the title character but it’s okay to have him lose fights at times as that’s how he continues to grow fight skill wise.
“How about Prometheus, isn’t he suppose to be our villain this season?” – lol; totally fair! Oh Cammie we were getting along so well, Helena is an anti-hero not a villain. 🙂 But yes, come back Helena and have scenes with Dinah…BIRDS OF PREY EPISODE with Felicity standing in for Oracle; bonus points if Felicity is back in her wheelchair for that episode! They have been pushing the Bertinelli group a lot this season.
I don’t think Oliver has a long con with Susan because again why would he? She has nothing he supposedly wants and he has no reason to suspect she was investigating him; I’m sure he assumed she found some things being a reporter but not that secret. I just don’t buy it’s a long con personally. I guess you can argue Oliver reacted the way he did because he wants better for Thea, but I certainly get those who call him out because how many times has he made secret choices behind someone’s back for their supposed own good and it just lead to more issues? He definitely doesn’t have any high ground to stand on as they say.
I’m hoping Cammie is wrong about Diggle/Dinah because Lyla/Diggle. Adrian’s been fun so far. I think Prometheus leaked the story at the end.
If Dinah put on the blonde wig Martin really would be calling her Trisha Helfer, ha; part of me would love to see the Black Canary comic book costume on screen but I don’t think it fits for Dinah. I could have seen Sara wearing it as she’s more of a hand to hand fighter so the freer leg region would allow her better kick range but that version of the costume just doesn’t seem Dinah Drake-ish; Dinah feels more black jeans and the jacket with the mask (kind of like this episode) than full leather like Sara and Laurel. But maybe that’s just me. My biggest thing is I don’t want her to wear the wig because that felt more of an homage to Sara by Laurel so it would be nice to see that stay with her version and just allow Dinah to showcase her brown hair especially if they do put her in Laurel’s suit eventually. I’d say no to Felicity in fishnets because while the photos are nice that would just set up comments to be made about Felicity and how she’s taking over something that should arguably have been a Laurel thing.
Martin I will talk to you about “Legends Of Tomorrow” when LOT starts talking about Nyssa because how has Sara not asked about her yet?! Side note: assuming Talia is dead on “Arrow” in present day, again if she’s not where has she been, why not work her in to LEGENDS as a guest for Sara to encounter until they can get Katrina for a few scenes? I definitely wish Katrina well on “Training Day” but I do miss Nyssa as well.
Great audio this week!
