In episode 29 of We Have To Go Back Podcast we take a look back at Lost season 3 episode 9, “Stranger in a Strange Land” and episode 10, “Trisha Tanaka is Dead.” The Jack centric episode, “Stranger in a Strange Land” is widely considered to be one of the worst episodes of Lost, and we’ll talk about the portion of the episode that took place in flashback, Jack’s tattoos, his relationship with Achara, and if it was as bas as we remembered.  We also talk about the on-island developments with Juliet getting marked, Isabelle the sheriff, and the reappearance of Cindy, Emma, and Zach.

In “Trisha Tanaka is Dead” we see Hurley’s dad leave him when he was a young boy, and then reappear after he wins the lottery.  On the island, Hurley finds the DHARMA van with the body of Roger Linus and a bunch of old DHARMA beer inside.  We discuss the attitude of Hurley, the hope that he gives to the other crash survivors, Sawyer’s insults, and Kate, Locke, and Sayid’s efforts to go rescue Jack.

Next up: “Enter 77” & “Par Avion.”
