SHOW NOTES:
Echidna Capital Management Easter Egg
I think at the time she said it, Skye meant she was concerned about innocents when Cal found out the truth; she definitely has a complex relationship with him but I believe her when she said they needed to protect people from him. Lincoln knowing about Skye’s parents definitely makes you watch him, that’s powerful information. I think Lincoln figured out who Skye’s parents are because of Raina and what she said; if that fact is so key then I can’t see Jai telling anyone unless they confronted her with a lot of proof. Which Gordon could have done but he just stays quite on the matter because it doesn’t matter enough to him just yet.
I think Jaiying had to let Skye go with Cal because if she didn’t Skye would have withdrawn even more from her; as Dave said there’s definitely a growing rift between them and that would have only made it larger. As much as she likes spending time with her mother, I think Skye still sees Afterlife as a prison.
I agree Ward is a great bad guy.
I personally wouldn’t want Ward back on the team; it would be a cop out to just erase his deeds, which I don’t think the writers will do, and I can’t see the team trusting him. Fitz and Simmons certainly wouldn’t and while May can see his potential as an asset I don’t see her trusting him; too much has happened for him to be back on the team.
I agree with Mike, I don’t think Ward knew about the fight between Coulson and Gonzales but he was piecing things together some in this episode. Simmons hacking Mike was a nice wink to her spending time with Skye I feel. I wonder how Gordon knew to pull Skye out; did Lincoln contact him during the fight, did Skye call him unknowingly, or is Jaiying tracking them as well in some way and if she is why didn’t she know about Ethan?
It may not be Gonzales who Bobbie takes Coulson too at the base, it could be May for the drama of that scene.
I like Peter’s comments about Cal and how he views him.
