Team Arrow reunites with Diggle and heads off on a mission to Russia where they find Anatoli waiting in present day, among other issues that only Starling City’s sister city can bring. Back home, Detective Lance and Rene (Wild Dog) team up to prepare for an important post-rehab interview with reporter Susan. In the flashbacks, Talia al Ghul begins training Oliver to be “something else.”
Listen in to hear Cammie and The Flash discuss “Bratva” (5×12). As always we love getting feedback from the Arrow Squad members so please send in your thoughts too!

I’m bummed there’s no Shadow as I was looking forward to his fanboying over Anatoli.
I agree with Cammie about the actors versus characters – regarding Wild Dog specifically, the actor is doing great acting wise but the character’s personality has me wanting to punch him more times than not. I’d LOVE to see Donna and Quentin together again! Also him and Thea running the mayor’s office because they’re best at it. I’m holding reservations about Dinah and Oliver as a pairing because again it would give the comic purists their Black Canary/Green Arrow romance to hook them up for awhile so I wouldn’t rush to say that’s not something that could happen but I agree with Cammie in that it’s nice that isn’t her first plot on the show – she’s an interesting character with the option to romance instead of being a love interest who’s also an interesting character; I do worry about a triangle plot with Dinah/Oliver/Felicity but it’s great it’s not happening instantly like what happens on other shows at times.
Good points from Cammie about Black Canary! I lean towards Flash’s take on Dinah – she doesn’t need to hook up with anyone on the team; I will vote that she gets some loving on screen or off screen hook ups are mentioned but I’m don’t need her with a team member unless someone who works with her suddenly comes on the team…for now let her play the field, if Oliver can do it so can she! I definitely don’t want to see Dinah and Felicity fighting over Oliver!
Why would Oliver need to play Susan – she seemingly has nothing he wants so I don’t buy him playing her; if he’s just letting her think she has a hand over him because he wants to use her to destress in some way (acquaintances with benefits) so he let’s her think she’s winning but really he knows she’s up to something that’s one thing but playing her back I don’t get that because she seemingly has nothing he’d want that he’d need to play her for so I hope they don’t get to crazy with this an act like he was working an angle the whole time. When it comes to the “You knew?” part just have him say you wanted to use me so I used you too and leave it at that or have him be played because he was focused on other things or he doesn’t think Susan is that big of a threat when really she could be…or have him say he was going to stop Susan but he had other things to stop first (Prometheus) so she wins due to scheduling but if they come out and say he was playing her to me it’d be as cheap as some saying he was played would be cheap because again what does he have to play her for?
I’d agree Roy was the hero of the episode. I like Susan as an opponent for Oliver. Awe no more Shadow; hopefully his other podcasts do well! He never drug it down. A great message; thanks for the works Shadow! Arrow Squad OTA is gone (thanks for the memories guys), but I’m glad the show isn’t ending yet as our newbies in Cammie and Flash are holding their own, you’re both a bunch of Roys and Evelynes (but with more screen time thankfully) to me – yes that’s a compliment. I look forward to seeing what you two do!
