TWDTT 057 – New Best Friends (S7E10)
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 1:27:33 — 50.7MB) | Embed
New Best Friends are what Rick and the gang found in this episode, as well as a porcupine walker and a wire cat statue. While Winslow didn’t survive the encounter, hopefully the cat found a new home with Michonne. Also hopefully, our gang can find the guns required to keep their new best friends. Will Tara have to reveal what she knows about Oceanside? Or will they find another cache of guns? Either way, the clock is ticking and the pressure is mounting. Read More…

TWDTT 056 – Rock in the Road (S7E9)
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 1:38:37 — 57.0MB) | Embed
What an episode back from hiatus! Rock in the Road showed us all the things we wanted, and none of the stuff we didn’t. As Brian said, it was Negan without Negan. Unfortunately, even though I love Jeffrey Dean Morgan, a little Negan goes a long, long way for me. We argued about the blobby shadow in the front seat of Father Gabe’s car and wondered what it might mean if anything. We got to see a little of the Hilltop, and a little of the Kingdom. We also got to see the coolest clothesline ever! Read More…

It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Yup… just shy of two months! But, in a few more days, our beloved show, The Walking Dead, returns for the second half of Season 7!!! We can’t wait to talk about it with you! We have news for The Walking Dead, read what we know about 7B, and if you don’t mind to listen, we also talked about some of the other TV and movies we watched during the hiatus! Read More…

TWDTT 054 – Hearts Still Beating (S7E8)

There are many Hearts Still Beating after the mid-season break for season 7 of The Walking Dead, but a few that have been stopped forever. Thankfully it was Spencer, unfortunately, it was also Olivia. Some characters weren’t on the road to learn the lesson that Rick learned, but some were and didn’t learn it good enough. I’m looking at you, Rosita, and now Eugene is paying the price for your stubbornness. I hope she has now learned her lesson, the lesson he tried to tell her when he told her that it might not be her that pays the price for her actions. Hopefully, she will remember those words and how she was mean to Eugene and work extra hard to get him back. Read More…

TWDTT 053 – Sing Me a Song (S7E7)
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 1:39:22 — 57.5MB) | Embed
Sing Me a Song is the title of the next episode of The Walking Dead, also known as season 7 episode 7, and the penultimate for this year. It is also another way that Negan shows his prickishness because he makes Carl, our little serial killer in training, do just that. While the seemingly budding bromance between Carl and Negan was the main focus of this episode, we also checked in with Rick and Aaron, Spencer and Father Gabriel, Rosita and Eugene, and Michonne. It seems that our characters are going off in all different directions, both literally and figuratively while they all try to cope with their new Savior situation. Michonne and Rosita are both hell-bent on getting themselves killed…er, I mean going after Negan. Read More…

TWDTT 052 – Swear (S7E6)
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 1:16:04 — 44.1MB) | Embed
Swear means we only have two more weeks of The Walking Dead this year, but it also means all Tara all the time. The sixth episode of season 7 caught us up on what happened to Tara and Heath after that fateful night at the Savior outpost. When they left, our gang still had no idea what was to come, but when Tara returned, she returned to a post-Negan world where everyone is a nail, and Lucille is the hammer. Fortunately, we didn’t have too much to say about this episode, except feeling sad for Tara when she feels sad. Otherwise, she was a much needed bright ray of sunshine. Read More…

TWDTT 051 – Go Getters (S7E5)
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 1:02:12 — 36.2MB) | Embed
What a difference a week makes! Go Getters, episode 5 of season 7 of The Walking Dead, was a welcome departure from the previous week, and we both liked it so much more than the one before. Brian had some weak sauce this week, but honestly, I was so happy to not see Negan again, I probably gave them a pass where I normally might not have. But that’s the way these things go sometimes. It was great to see Maggie again, and the path that she’s on with the Hilltop. Hopefully, Gregory will not be in charge for very long, although Xander Berkeley is quite divine. As Sonequa Martin-Green said on Talking Dead, Gregory cares more for his own safety than for the safety of others, and that is what makes him dangerous. How very right she is, and I think Jesus is starting to recognize this as well. Read More…

TWDTT 050 – Service (S7E4)
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 55:41 — 32.5MB) | Embed
Episode 4 of season 7 of The Walking Dead, “Service” is all about Negan visiting Alexandria and taking their stuff, or as he says, providing “service.” More than that, though, it’s about making sure the Alexandrians understand their place in the grand Savior scheme of things. Negan wants to make sure they are demoralized and that they won’t ever try to fight back. I’m really hoping that fighting back happens very soon because I’m not sure how much more of this kicking them when they’re down I can take. Read More…

TWDTT 049 – The Cell (S7E3)
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 1:02:39 — 36.5MB) | Embed
The third episode of season 7 takes us to the Sanctuary, as Negan’s home is called, and we learn a little bit more about Dwight. Meanwhile, the title of the episode, “The Cell” is where Daryl spends most of his time. Also, he’s naked. That’s right, Daryl was naked for part of this episode. So if you didn’t watch it, you missed out. Because it was sexy time. Okay, not really, it was a terrible kind of naked that wasn’t sexy at all, but rather, very, very sad. Daryl was brought to his lowest point in the series so far: no clothes and being fed dog food sandwiches. He even cried at the end, and our hearts broke as poor Daryl only had Dwight to comfort him. A masterful performance by Norman Reedus, this episode nevertheless left some of us wanting a little bit more. Read More…

TWDTT 048 – The Well (S7E2)
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 1:22:53 — 48.0MB) | Embed
“The Well” was definitely a different kind of episode than the season 7 premiere, and at least one of us really, really liked it. I won’t tell you who, you’ll just have to listen to see. Okay, twist my arm, it was me. This episode caught us up on what is happening with Morgan and our beloved Carol, as well as introduced us to a new community of people. During this episode, we see an entirely new way of life in the zombie-pocalypse, one that seems a little hard for Carol to swallow. She thinks that The Kingdom is a joke and that “King Ezekiel” is, too. That is until he lets her in on his little secret. By the end of the episode, I think Carol and I are in agreement. Ezekiel and Shiva aren’t so bad after all. Read More…
