[sc:astop]As the end of our two-part Slade saga draws to a close, the stakes rise for both Slade and Oliver, as they face off with unexpected villains in the attempt to save his son Joe, interspersed between flashbacks highlighting the origin of Slade’s previous vendetta against Oliver. Meanwhile, back in Star City, Diggle’s past decisions come back to haunt him, as Richard Dragon is introduced as a new foe for the team.
This fall and spring Arrow will be airing on a NEW night on Thursdays at 8pm ET. Our podcast episodes will be posted the following Saturday/Sunday, so we can accept email/voice feedback through Friday night – and maybe an early Saturday morning submission might make it in if you’re quick. 🙂

To pull from the game Felicity and William were playing – “Fatality!”; way to go Cammie you killed Flash now we have to go to another Earth and get a new one. Ha. That was very kind of Juliana to do that clip!
A nice recap of Cammie’s HVFF adventure. Regarding Dinah mixing with the team I just realized we haven’t seen much Felicity-Dinah as they’re usually in the group or Dinah’s with the guys so it could be fun to see more duo moments with them.

Did I hear Diggle right, did he say the printer was Cadmus tech? If so, yay for a “Supergirl” reference!
If Diggle and Lyla for some reason do break up I hope it’s via divorce rather than death because death is not the only dramatic way to have a character exit! Divorce would also allow them a chance to reunite as they’ve done so before should Dinah/Diggle not work out like they think.
I had technical difficulties during the episode in the scene with Joe and Slade but I thought Joe said his mother thought Grant was too good for the world and wanted him to have nothing to do with it thus Joe killed him out of jealousy. I think when Slade said at the end he was going to find both his sons he meant Joe the boy he knew and Jackal who’s the son of Deathstroke. If Slade kills Joe to save someone I think that might be the end of Slade on the series because how does he come back from that, the emotion may be too high to help the team beyond information if he even gives that.
I was honestly surprised Renee didn’t have a bigger reaction to John’s drug reveal; I get why in the end he would give him another chance with the count as he said being more pro, but personally I just would have liked to have seen more a conflicted look on his face about it as that was a huge thing in his life. Ugh, hearing the sound clip again makes me frustrated with Dinah because why didn’t she mention Curtis as an option at the start given she knew about the chip as well…that makes me dislike the handling some with this plot. Given all he’s done in the past I don’t think Oliver should be judging anyone so I hope he doesn’t go off on John.
While baby John is cute too I do miss baby Sara, bring her back show! I’m pleasantly surprised at the handling of children so far on this show; I’ll admit any time a series adds kids to the mix I get nervous as TV doesn’t have the best history with them because usually a beloved character dies protecting them or it feels like the kids take over but here so far it’s been good because as you said they’re a part of the world but the show hasn’t lost its focus of being about the team. William was a little weird blaming Oliver in the beginning but beyond that they’ve done well with kids so far.
“Arrow” is my go to show for an example of how keeping secrets is bad; that’s another thing Stephen should have said about Oliver – big lies to your team is bad! 🙂
You have to admit Flash there’s some weird editing when it comes to Dinah-John scenes this season; the biggest thing is the prolonged screen shots such as lingering on Dinah’s hand forcing a gun into John’s chest. “I need you for the long haul” versus “We need you for the long haul” suggests Diggle finds her especially important when all the members need her not just him. The second Curtis or Renee finishes their line to him they cut back to John but if Dinah says something to him there’s this extended beat; as Cammie says “I don’t want it to happen” but the lingering is weird, it’s small beats but they add up.
