Maid of Steel

The Legacy of Supergirl for me will always be friends. The friends that I would not have found if I hadn't entered the superhero world. I began as many did with Arrow. Having no comic knowledge.

The Supergirl season may be over, but the fun here on Maid of Steel continues. This week we have the super opportunity to sit down with other Supergirl podcast hosts and discuss our adventures.

Welcome back to Maid of Steel - post Supergirl!! We're talking about The Flash!! No, we haven't jumped shows or heroes, we're back to discuss the first five episodes of The Flash Season 8 -…

The battle has been won. Esme is safe at home. Alex is a married woman. Kara is committed to being true to both sides of herself.

The fight for the totems has taken a desperate turn. Supergirl and her team have five totems however Lex and Nyxly have stolen the most precious of them all.

The truth is when a fifth dimensional imp has her sights set on your home there will be consequences. In the race to beat Nyxly to seven magical totems there is not much time to relax and unwind.

Previously on Supergirl…Bitter Imp! Totems, Totems, Totems. Battle for the Universe as we know it! Supergirl has been one step behind since Season 6 – Episode 8!! Pew, Pew, big booms!

All is quiet at the tower. Brainy and Lena have secured the courage and humanity totems with a combination of Earth magic and Coluan calculations.

Supergirl and Nyxly have one totem each. Nia has gone to Parthas in search of the Dream totem so Kara heads to the Netherlands to try and stop the Imp from getting her hands on the Hope totem.

The quest for the totems continues. Nyxly tracks the Humanity Totem to the pocket of a martial arts fighter in town for a match.

Supergirl and her team are in a race against Nyxly. They must find seven totems to reassemble the All Stone. The person wielding this magical item has ultimate power.

Supergirl and her team are consumed with finding Nyxly before she can cause more harm. This causes a lot of frustration for Kelly who is left to worry about the residents of The Heights.

Three hundred years ago Mr. Mxyptlix betrayed Nyxly when he testified against her. The result of that trial was Nyxly being banished to the phantom zone.

When Supergirl speaks people listen but Kara wants to use this power for more than getting people to eat broccoli. Sure Andrea is thrilled she has a Superfriends video on Catco's website.

Supergirl and J'onn are investigating a robbery in National City. The crime is being perpetrated by a group of aliens that would not normally work together.

Kara has returned from the Phantom Zone. It is a place where despair reigns supreme and time doesn't advance.

When Lena Luthor first moved to National City she lived in a hotel. She was not sure if this is where she would make a permanent home. She bought Catco.

It's a Trailer! Sister Couch moment, Bad Trash, Nia AND her Mother, and so much more! Check out the Silver Vox and the Green Butterfly break down every delightful second of what's to come in our…

She is neither human nor Kryptonian but her powers rival those of Supergirl. She was made by witches on Krypton to dispense justice to the galaxy.

What makes someone your One True Pairing? In my opinion it is many things. That person loves you for all that you are while also inspiring you to try new things.

Nia Nal was born and raised in Parthas. On Parthas humans and aliens live together in peace. She had a happy childhood and loved her hometown but always envisioned herself doing more.

Midvale is the small town where Kara Zor El became Kara Danvers. A place where she found a new purpose. Alex Danvers' life was easier before Kara crashed into it.

Kara is still stuck in the Phantom Zone. When a phantom attacks Supergirl is overwhelmed with fear. She fears if her team attempts to save her they will all die, and it would be all her fault!

CJ Grant is determined to get the story. She will do whatever it takes to show Perry White that she is destined for more than the tabloid stories he sends her to cover. She will find her own story.

The mission this week is to collect some of Kara's DNA to help locate her in the fractured phantom zone and bring her home.

The number of citizens infected by the phantoms continues to rise. Brainy keeps constructing more containment pods.

When a phantom escaped into the city I was sure our biggest problem would be doubt and despair. The reality is much worse. These aliens also inject venom into their victim's body.

Kara is trapped in a place where phantoms roam free and you are forced to relive the most disturbing moments of your life. In this realm time does not move.

Lex Luthor is wielding the power of three ancient gods of Leviathan. Gememnea escaped the bottle because she is pure technology. She could not be defeated in the same way.

Supergirl and her team have faced a lot of turmoil recently. Not the least of which was a crisis of epic proportion.

Kara is in pain. The girl of steel is crumbling on the inside. No amount of pizza or potstickers can ease her broken heart.

Superman and Lois have soared onto the CW. Due to the recent Daxamite invasion plaguing National City, Silver Vox and Green Butterfly are a little late checking out the adventures of Kara's super…

J'onn is injured and Lena and MonEl have been taken hostage. Supergirl and what remains of her team must make a tenuous alliance with Lillian Luthor and her Cyborg. The Earth is running out of time.

What happens when someone uses your secret to manipulate you? What happens when brute force is not enough to solve a problem?

What is wrong with Supergirl? This morning she was inspiring school children before flying into a burning building. Now she is acting very peculiarly.

It is the moment the Danvers have been waiting for. Jeremiah has come home. Amidst the joy there is trepidation. It seemed too easy to free him from the clutches of Cadmus.

It is time for DC tv to turn the page and enter life after Arrow. What will happen next? Only the people in the writers room know for sure.

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Kara lays snug in her bed with visions of pot stickers dancing in her head. Green Butterfly is dreaming too.

Supergirl continues to protect the planet. Many miles away in the Arctic, Dr.Jones is researching how to save our planet from a climate catastrophe. He wants to spread a message of conservation.

Pizza and potstickers are just going to have to wait. Something has gone wrong on the first commercial space flight. The News Media is calling out for a hero.

The residents of National City are acting very strangely. It is as if they all have the same objective in mind.

What if everything you think you want evolves over time? That happens to everyone as we change and grow.

This past weekend some of our favorite actors got together for Galaxycon. The result was a fun conversation featuring lots of interesting facts.

Once again the world got together to explore the fantastic world of superheroes. This time the focus was the stories that will be coming to our televisions.

In the sky above National City all seems peaceful. When you turn on your super hearing you realize that the city always has a certain amount of animosity simmering below the surface.

The world of heroes came together for 24 hours. We escaped the confines of real life to celebrate something truly fantastic.

Hi! This is your eye in the sky Green Butterfly. Silver Vox and I are very thankful for all our superfriends and the community they have helped us build. Now it is time to turn back the clock.

The story of Kal El is one we have known for many years. The destruction of Krypton was imminent and Jor El made a desperate plan to save his son.

In the Supergirl universe the character of Selena is shrouded in mystery. In the 1984 film she is an evil sorceress. After watching the movie twice as many questions remain in my head.

The Omegahedron is gone. Without it Argo City will die. Kara Zor-El leaps into action. She takes a space pod to a whole new world following the glowing balls flight through space.

Season five may be over but we are still talking about it. Now that Crisis on Infinite Earths has combined our worlds it is easier to hang out with our super friends.

Season five is over, but the super summer of fun has just begun. It may be next summer before our high flying heroine takes to the sky again but we would never leave our super friends for that long.

It is the day that Lex has been waiting for. He got his invitation to the Leviathan ship. He doesn't have to take down Supergirl himself.

Everything is connected. Well almost everything. Our team must split up to find answers. Each of them following their own thread that when woven together will shed some light on what is to come.

During the Crisis on Infinite Earths Lex helped the other heroes save the World. Lex is always a man looking for an opening. He is always looking for an opportunity to do things his way.

The citizens of National City have found a new solution to dealing with pain and trauma. The answer to solving their problems is to lose themselves in the virtual world.

Someone wants Dreamer to take off her cape. He says we don't need a Superhero like her. He is targeting members of the transgendered community to get her attention.

With the launch of Obsidian North's next generation of VR you will be able to see, taste, and touch your wildest dreams. The important thing is to not forget the real world around you.

What if you could change the outcome of one of your greatest regrets? Would you do it? What if Kara could go back and tell Lena the truth before Lex had a chance to?

"Back From The Future Part Two" brings us back to Winn and his father's dark cloud over his son's life.

"Back From The Future Part One" brings us up to speed on the last two years of Winn Schott's life in the future and reveals the hero that he has become amongst the Legion.

Lex Luthor is the Man of Tomorrow and he is controlling everything today. He is the head of the DEO and many think he is a hero. Only a select few know the truth.

Loss is hard. How do you even begin to mourn an entire universe? Our Paragons must pick up the pieces of their shattered lives and find a way out.

We have heard from the Paragons of Podcasting. Now it is time to hear from you. The Heroes of historical facts of Supergirl's past episodes.

There is just nothing left. The Paragons stand alone in the darkness. They are on the Vanishing Point and there is nothing left. There is no family, no friends, and no Earth.

In the beginning there was only darkness. Things changed and the emptiness was filled. Many worlds were born. There were countless variations and endless possibilities.

Rama Khan is a god. He orchestrated some of the most enormous tragedies in history. Noah's flood, the volcano in Pompeii, even the demise of the dinosaurs can all be traced back to him.

"Tremors" brings us a lot of relationships that have very shaky foundations get shaken - not stirred - up to find out what's really at the heart of the matter.

Leviathan lurks in the shadows. It makes perfect sense that they would help create a shadow assassin. Power always comes with a price. Lena Luthor has led a life filled with betrayal.

If you can dream it, then you can do it! With Obsidian virtual reality contact lenses your imagination is the limit. Join nine million of your closest friends in an adventure with no limits.

They say seeing is believing. Sometimes what you see is deceiving. Malefic is hiding in the City. He could be anywhere. He could be anyone. James is driving Kelly out of town.

Sometimes a decision is not completely wrong or completely right. What if laws are broken while trying to get justice for others? What if you commit a cardinal sin to relieve suffering?

What do you know about the people you spend your day with? Do you know what would make them exclaim "This Is the best day ever!"?

Technology helps us every day. I am using it right now to communicate with you. When will it go too far? Are we losing our connection with reality? Will we soon reach an event horizon?

A return from a Legendary hiatus, "Schott Through The Heart" took a deep dive into the family life (and death) of the Schott's.

Both Sides Now saw each of our characters confronting all sides of themselves. Purity struggled with her identity. Sam reached a breaking point when she abandoned Ruby.

For Good saw Lena struggling with her family drive verses her good nature. Sam was struggling to find answers with Alex's help. Morgan Edge was being targeted.

Fort Rozz is the destination for our Ladies Legion. Kara and Saturn Girl must pull in Livewire and Psi to help them, because the ship orbits a star deadly to men.

Legion of Superheroes saw Brainiac-5 help Supergirl awaken, J'onn play Kara for Lena, and the Legion go toe to toe with Reign. The DEO slowed down Reign but could not stop her.
