Gotham Undercover

It is time to do a series wrap of Gotham. Now that the season is over and we have had time to reflect on the season and the series as a whole, it is time for you, our Undercover Agents to share.

The Beginning saw us jump 10 years into Gotham's future. Jim is ready to quit, but no one has stepped up to take his place. But Bruce has put on the cowl and cape.

They Did What? saw our heroes and villains work together to defeat Bane and Nyssa al Ghoul. The people of Gotham banded together for their own reasons to preserve their city from destruction.

Bane has been created out of the ruins of Eduardo's body. Professor Hugo Strange is working overtime ready to remake Jim. Barbara is in labor and Lee is trying to convince her not to run.

The Trial of Jim Gordon saw him fight for his life. Ivy put the whammy on just about all the other men in the group. Babs fought to keep the peace for Jim. Lee saved Jim and ended up as a bride.

Nothing's Shocking about Jane Doe who assumes the face and identity of people to seek revenge. Nothing's shocking about Mr. Peen who comes back controlled by Scarface the dummy.

Ace Chemicals is the birthplace of The Joker and for us the true birth of Batman. These two engage in a dance of death and destruction and it all started here.

13 Stitches can't close the wound in Eduardo after his battle with Jim. Magpie's wound came at the hands of Penguin and Selina. Babs' wound came from Jim finding Lee.

Pena Dura brought hard times for Riddler and Jim. Riddler struggles to find out who is controlling him. We find out that Jim's buddy Eduardo is here to take over Gotham not save it.

Penguin, Our Hero starts out people with mocking Penguin and ends up with them thanking him. However, people are still out to shut him down and take out Haven.

Trespassers saw our heroes crossing lines to save what was dear to them. Jim and Harvey had to journey to save the children. Bruce had to journey to find a cure for Selina.

Year Zero had us jump 13 months after the events of last season, but we were pulled back to 3 months. Gotham is desperate. Food and supplies are short.

Elseworlds was this year's CW crossover. But this year we saw a new character introduced, Batwoman. Flash, Green Arrow and Supergirl make their way to Gotham City investigating John Deegan.

Wizard World made its' first trip to Winston-Salem, NC this year. John McGrail and Geoff Gentry were fortunate to get press passes.

No Man's Land was an ending to Gotham as we have seen it. Bruce is forced by Ra's and Jeremiah to take the next step to be come Batman. The Lee, Jim, and Riddler triangle was shattered.

It was One Bad Day in Gotham and no one was spared. Jeremiah was working to blow the city into his ideal, as well as reshape Bruce into a different man. Harvey had to step up and lead the GCPD.

That Old Corpse was Jerome, but it seems Jeremiah is a real Joker. He captured Bruce and send Harley after Jim.

To Our Deaths And Beyond saw a Demon's Head Battle Royal between Barbara and Ra's. The Riddler & Lee took on the corrupt banks and slumlords as well as Penguin and Butch.

That's Entertainment when the producers of Gotham can kill one Joker to give us the real one, play the 60's Batman theme and give Bruce the Batmobile 1.0.

Mandatory Brunch Meeting had quite a few amazing meetings that shocked us. Jerome has a twin who is gifted in other ways. Riddler and Doc Thompson face off. Penguin recruits Butch and so much more!

One of My Three Soups saw three villains escape Arkham. Jim and Harvey went after Hatter and the Bat & Cat went after Jerome.

The Sinking Ship episode of Gotham saw Jim and Harvey on the case to find the dirt on Sofia by finding Mr. Penn. Oswald is sprung by The Riddler and they are were out to defeat Sofia.

Reunion saw friends coming back together (Jim & Harvey, Ed & Oswald), team Batman reunited with Alfred and Bruce, and both halves of the Riddler merged.

A Beautiful Darkness saw Bruce having dark visions of his future. Ivy is seeking to be a voice for the plants at the cost of the humans. Oswald has having an awful time in Arkham thanks to Jerome.

Pieces of a Broken Mirror ended our long Gotham break. Things were exploding, people being reborn in many ways, and violence was keyed up all around Gotham.

Queen Sofia took down her dad, Jim, and Penguin this week. The guys vastly underestimated her and paid the price. Tabby tried to knock some Butch back into Grundy.

Things That Go Boom was an episode full of explosions, negotiations, and deal making. The Doc a.k.a. Lee was winning the Narrows turf back. Sofia was negotiating with everyone.

Let Them Eat Pie was all about Professor Pyg forcing Gotham's elite to actually eat the poor they have been oppressing. While Jim is striving to stop Pyg, Penguin is getting Martin to spy on Sofia.

Justice League was a call to "Unite The League" and that's just what it did for us at Golden Spiral Media.

Stop hitting yourself saw people Grundy beating his opponents with their own arms. Harvey was beating himself up with guilt. Jim was hitting himself about making a choice to be captain or not.

A Day In the Narrows saw Jim and Harvey's relationship strained to the breaking point. It was a day of learning and coming together for the Sirens.

Hog wild times are afoot in Gotham with Professor Pyg (Michael Cerveris) out to end the corruption in the GCPD. Jim and Harvey are are on the hunt for him but he is ready for them.

The Blade's Path is from Bruce's hand in Ra's body. It appears to have killed Ra's but in Gotham death is temporary. Just ask Butch I mean Solomon Grundy and his new pal The Riddler.

This week, John "The Substitute" McGrail steps in for Geoff while he's on a retreat from the seedy underbelly of Gotham.

Masks are used to hide identity and protect people. Bruce is learning masks don't have to be physical ones. Meanwhile Babs and Selina are playing with masks of their own.

The Fear Reaper a.k.a. Scarecrow is out to help everyone conquer fear by making them become their fear. Just like he did. He creates an army in Arkham and then goes after Jim.

Pax Penguina is a new concept for Gotham and not everyone is onboard. Jim is fighting the GCPD, Bruce wants to use the license system to stop crime.

Heavydirtysoul talks about the regrets and failings of our characters. Each one had to deal with their failings and face the impact they had on others.

Destiny was calling for many in this episode, but for Bruce it was different. He had to make hard choices. Jim's destiny was in question thanks the the Tetch virus.

Pretty Hate Machine could describe Lee, Shaman, Penguin or Riddler this episode. Hate seemed rule the day in Gotham.

All will be judged and some more quickly than others. Barnes the Executioner is on the loose in Gotham with one purpose, to make sure Jim is judged.

Light The Wick was about the start bad things to come. Bruce and Jim had to make hard choices and were told by the Owls to light the wick that will destroy Gotham as we know it.

The Primal Riddle is who are the Court of Owls. The Riddler, Babs, and even Jim want to know. Each are searching for all the answer in different ways, but will they find out before the Court wipes…

Delicate times and delicate negotiations gave way to violence and growth on this week's Gotham. Jim confronts the past, his uncle, and chooses to fight.

How The Riddler Got His Name started this part of Gotham with a bang! This section of the season is called Heroes Rise. In order to do that we need villains to challenge them to do that.

The Flashpoint Paradox teaches how the whole world can change with the smallest action. Barry Allen's Flash makes the decision to save his mother.

The Dark Knight takes us into the Nolan Era of Batman. What a change from the Burton Era. In this Gotham Extra we compare Heath Ledger's Joker with Cameron Monaghan's version.

Follow The White Rabbit is the tale of Jim Gordon following the Mad Hatter's clues and going down the rabbit hole. But Wonderland does not await him.

Anything For You was a character study to see how far our Gothamites would go for the people they loved. Butch was caught in-between the boss he respected, Penguin, and the woman he loves, Tabitha.

New Day Rising and new changes ahead for Gotham! Jim as a new break through with Lee. Oswald is the new mayor of Gotham and the Court of Owls have a new toy to play with!

Woods are a place of mystery, wonder, animals, hunters and prey. This week we head Into The Woods of Gotham. There are forests of riddles and clues. There are forests of family drama.

Prisoners are made in many ways. Jim was made one by the schemes of Ed. Oswald is a prisoner of his past. Elijah was made one by his wife. But prisoners can break free if well motivated.

Mad Grey Dawn was a clue left by the Riddler for Jim. Ed was mad but had schemed to lock Jim up, literally. Oswald proven not mad discovers his father. Bruce gets mad and picks a fight with Sonny.

Mud and meanness can sometimes be hidden, sometimes overlooked, and sometimes sought out. Bruce wants to be muddy and mean. But is he ready? Penguin has his mud washed off by Hugo.

Cold is the response to anyone who interferes with Mr. Freeze's work! Victor's love for his Nora has pushed him over the edge and his icy cold wrath is felt by all of Gotham.
