The Doctor, Timeless Children, The Master, Cybermen, Gallifrey, Cybergallifreyns, what more could you ask for from a season finale?
In the epic and emotional series finale, the Cybermen are on the march. As the last remaining humans are ruthlessly hunted down, Graham, Ryan and Yaz face a terrifying fight to survive. Civilisations fall. Others rise anew. Lies are exposed, truths are revealed, battles are fought, and for the Doctor – trapped and alone – nothing will ever be the same again.
As Wayne and Jada review what they liked and didn’t like about the episode, they also discuss listener feedback and go over unanswered questions and share fan theories. Remember, don’t blink, don’t even blink.

“We know Jodie is coming back as the Doctor…” – yay!
Yaz did not seem to be happy to be home, at least without Doctor.
I would LOVE to see River in the holiday special at least to help Doctor break out of the prison! Jodie and Alex would have so much fun with those scenes I feel. 🙂
Susan is another I’d LOVE to see next season after the tease from the photo in Capaldi’s last season; let’s pay off some Susan stuff writers! That would be good emotional content for Doctor also!
Nicely said about how the show is all about change Sam!
Here’s my review for the episode…
I LOVED the Graham-Yaz moment on the Cyber ship when he said she was the best person he knew now; I wish we had gotten more with them over the season, hopefully we will next season if they’re a part of it. How did you like the proposed history of the time lords; did it work for you or did it feel just meh? Doctor as the timeless child felt kind of cliche as just a casual viewer because it came off to me more as Chibnall wanting to be “see how important I made my Doctor” rather than maybe a plan the network had beyond him and now someone is either going to have to spend a full season recanting that so it burns their first try or they have to embrace it whether it’s a liked concept or not because it’s part of cannon now. I feel like saying Doctor is the Timeless Child is just a way to keep the show going beyond 12 regenerations. I have to give it to Master, this is their best evil plan yet!
Again it’s so nice the humans can just breathe on all the planets they step on pretty much. Also again I feel they’re building to something with Yaz but they’re just super slow playing it to get there. Not going to lie, I totally went “Kiss her Yaz!” went Doctor was saying goodbye; that was a really good goodbye speech I have to say. 🙂
I wonder if the old guy was suppose to represent the John Hurt Doctor because he was totally a Doctor or someone on the counsel so it pays off Smith saying Hurt is where he never wants to go again because Doctor said she didn’t want to do that if she could help it and so of course someone else had to step in. Is that Stormgate or whatever it’s called at the end; isn’t that where River is? Maybe River will guest star next season!
On the whole as just mainly a Smith forward watcher I’d say this was ok; maybe if I knew the details of other Doctors and the classic era I’d get the small nods that are probably in her to rate it higher or maybe lower but just as a casual person I’m like it was ok.
I think it depends on what happens next season how I feel about this going forward – if the fam is in it then that will make it ok still but I’ll be excited because I want to know what happened to them; maybe Graham or Ryan doesn’t come back because of what they’ve seen but Yaz would definitely do one more trip I think. Is Jodie going to be the Doctor all season or not; if she’s not I’m like why not have her push the button and then use regeneration to explain how Doctor survived in some manufactured way. That is not the last we’ve seen of the Master I think as that character is too popular to kill off forever! If Jodie is the Doctor all season then I maybe move it to a low good when paired back up with the fam because it’s another run with hopefully stories I can see and follow; that may be another reason I’m just giving it an ok, I missed basically half the season because BBCAmerica didn’t repeat episodes each week sadly and between DW or SUPERGIRL and BATWOMAN I’m watching the CW because I’ve been into them longer. I do like they confirmed there’s a holiday special, probably where Doctor escapes (and we see River maybe), even if we’ve seen the darleks already in one.
