[sc:astop]Thanksgiving has come to Star City, and with it comes a whirlwind of cold villains and warm family moments for our heroes. With an increasing number of Team Arrow members taken out by villains, the FBI, and physical illness, the remaining team is left to defend the city against a massive attack from Caden James. This week’s holiday episode delivered no shortage of shocking moments and buzz-worthy scenes for us to discuss here!
This fall and spring Arrow will be airing on a NEW night on Thursdays at 8pm ET. Our podcast episodes will be posted the following Saturday/Sunday, so we can accept email/voice feedback through Friday night – and maybe an early Saturday morning submission might make it in if you’re quick. 🙂

I agree with Flash the Juliana opening never gets old!
I’m definitely excited for the crossover this year, except for the Sara/Alex stuff because – Nyssa feelings!
I’m glad Oliver apologized to John in the hospital because after all he’s done over the series until just recently he has no room to judge him really.
I’m all for more Juliana, and other cast members, but I think you’ve tipped your hand villain Cammie; we now know your master play is to kill Flash. Ha. 🙂
Now that she’s awake I really hope Thea makes the rounds with everyone and doesn’t just stay to Oliver; I understand people want to see them together for the family history but as Cammie said Felicity is not only her sister in law but friend too and we know she likes the newbies so hopefully we’ll see her around and not just sticking to select people. Speaking of Thea’s awakening, was it just me or did anyone else take Felicity’s comments as it was her and Curtis who came up with the drug combination which woke her up?
Watson might be a villain to some but her calling out Oliver is GREAT to me; the realism with this plot is AWESOME! I’m sad she’s leaving for a bit but hopefully she’ll be back before the season is over and survive the season because if they kill her off to stop the investigation it’ll feel cheap in my opinion. It’s certainly fair to question the handling of Watson’s arrest at the event, I’ll admit I thought she’d wait until he finished his speech, but I think overall she was in character because she doesn’t care who her criminal is with or where if she’s coming for you she’s going to get you; again yes it would have arguably been more in character to let him finish the speech but the moment worked for me.
I really hope we see Black Siren get some solo stuff this season because while it’s fun seeing her be the muscle for Cayden I want to see her be her own muscle as well and give the team a run for their money!
The team going down one by one was great and really gave a sense of drama to everything; had this been due to Watson’s investigation that would have been even better but I wouldn’t mind them doing a theme like that again because you never know who’s next and what they’re punishment is going to be.
I hope we’ll see Dinah leading a mission now because I’m with Felicity – she’d be awesome!
While I’m fine with Thea and William sharing screen time I don’t want to see Thea being his glorified babysitter for the rest of her time – let her back in the mayor’s office running things as she was great at it last season or let her distract Watson if she doesn’t want in the field again, if she does – bring on the Speedy-Canary duo or even Speedy-WildDog because him hitting on her is cute when she says it’s okay to do because it’s fun banter for her as well. Let Thea play while we have her!
A nice find regarding the Canary Crys Flash!
As Flash said I don’t think the crossover will have a huge affect on the shows beyond a few mentions after it of events so I don’t think Watson will comment on it but if there was a situation during the regular season episodes I think Watson would admit the team did a good thing in stopping bad guys but I would hope she’d also still reprimand them for not doing it legally else that would feel out of character for her to me. She can admit their success without agreeing to their methods of it.
SPOILERS FOR “Justice League” AHEAD!!!
Oh “Justice League”, it had good moments but as a whole it wasn’t as good as I was hoping; the true edition might have been better but the edited down theatrical version was just “Eh”. Personally I had issues with how they portrayed Diana in the fight versus Clark, I get he was cube enhanced in the moment but still she would not go down as much as she did; Wonder Woman is WAY more skilled in fighting than Clark who’s more of a brawler thus she might have taken punches and even got knocked back enough to daze her while he grabbed Bruce and threatened him but she wouldn’t have gotten her butt kicked as much as that scene suggested. Also why the change in costume for the Amazons? I liked Cyborg and Flash had some cute humor moments but again as a whole it felt incomplete…probably due to the edited time requested, granted the director edition might not be better but I’d like to see to judge. To me “Wonder Woman” remains the best DC movie to date.
