[sc:astop]This week we find Team Arrow under a new face and new leadership, as Diggle picks up the mantle of Green Arrow, per Oliver’s request. A new villain (Onyx) faces off against this new incarnation of Team Arrow, while the team tries to figure out how to work together after all the secrets and change-ups. Meanwhile, Oliver juggles duties as the mayor and as a father, as new challenges arrive on each front, and a new anti-vigilante referendum threatens the safety of everyone on the team and in the city.
This fall and spring Arrow will be airing on a NEW night on Thursdays at 8pm ET. Our podcast episodes will be posted the following Saturday/Sunday, so we can accept email/voice feedback through Friday night – and maybe an early Saturday morning submission might make it in if you’re quick. 🙂

Yay to team anti-hero!
“She was too demanding!” – ha!
Out if curiosity do you mean the crossover when discussing characters who will be back or not? If it’s the crossover that’s more a guest appearance but if you mean we’ll be seeing more from the island or past seasons who will be recurring in the rest of the season then I say PLEASE LET IT BE NYSSA; BRING BACK NYSSA!
I agree Samantha Watson was great in this episode; I love how she’s presenting the team with a not easily swept away challenge – they can’t just punch their way out of it or go to the same disguise trick they have before, this is going to take some work to beat her and someone still might go down for the team. I don’t know if anyone is rumored to leave this season but she could be the exit for them by placing them in jail which allows them to come back later still if the writers want; I have to say part of me hopes she doesn’t just let the team go ala Quentin because that could make for some good organic drama. I’m looking forward to her having longer scenes as the season goes with various characters!
“…if I was the owner of the company I would just sell it off and maybe become a costumed hero; maybe be named after a bug.” – yay for the Beetle reference; Marksman wins best podcast moment for me!
A good choice with the “move out”/”suit up!” moment.
LOL to Cammie talking about Dinah/John, that portion was hilarious with the discussions – thank you all for the laughs there! I hope Cammie finds many more Double Ds moments throughout the season because I don’t want this segment to end! 🙂 I agree I don’t want to see an affair happen; sadly given Lyla isn’t on much and how they’ve fought in the past I can see a possible split with the Diggles but I’d rather see more of Lyla and them together as a couple to show it can work given the team isn’t having the best luck with romances.
AGREED Katrina is awesome!
A very good point about the T-spheres doing Curtis’s hair. I agree the Canary Cry boost with Diggle was great!
If the bill doesn’t past I think it would be interesting to see some cops resent the team because it would feel realistic that they take offense to the idea the team can do a better job than them…true on an individual level there are cops the team is better than because they’re usually dirty but as a group unit most are trying to do their jobs. Team Arrow can’t protect everyone all the team and it would be interesting to hear how Dinah debates the topic if she overheard complaints because she’s in the middle ground – she gets good officers wanting respect but she also understands team Arrow’s side of wanting to help where they can’t due to some laws. I don’t want a full war against the team where cops look to cause problems for them or turn their backs on citizens because some understandably would see some benefits to the team but I again I think it’s believable there’d be tension over this decision either way.
Oliver SO wants Felicity; I’m glad she’s taking it slow though because long term it is the best approach.
Given how much Dinah has caught John in things recently I think it would be a good twist if it was Curtis or Renee who called John out on the drug use because they catch him; Renee especially would be my pick due to the events with his wife, I could definitely see that leading to him pulling away from a John as Arrow. If the group finds out Dinah knew for so long that’s going to lead to issues of trust as well and everyone to start fighting again at which point I say we wake up Thea and let her go off on all of them saying it’s been a year and nothing’s changed and they need to get it together – John made a mistake but Renee has made some as well by not listening early on, Dinah lied to the team but Curtis lied to Paul and that wasn’t okay either, and all the lying needs to stop as if they’ve learned one thing from being around Oliver it should be lying never works long term. John really should know better and Dinah is great at supporting her team but the team included more than one person. BRING ON GROUP GLUE THEA! 😀
To pull from Flash the Diggle as Arrow arc will go until the Dragon plot – as soon as John does something to kick off that plot (assuming he is linked to Diggle like we think) then the next episode or by the following Oliver will be back in the suit. That said YES to the idea of Thea in the Arrow suit for a bit! I so hope all her stuff this season isn’t hospital stuff.
Here’s hoping we don’t see the plot of William crushing on Felicity and then getting mad at Oliver because he’s with Felicity!
I agree Cammie, Martin and his love of Dinah are adorable together. 🙂
Another fun podcast!
