It is finally here, the Season 10 finale, entitled “My Struggle II”. This very controversial episode was written and directed by show creator Chris Carter and aired February 22, 2016 to an audience of 7.6 million viewers. It was the night’s top-rated program outright in adults 25-54 (3.0/8) and all key male demos.
With the cliffhanger at the end of the show, we found news about the future of “The X-Files”. The Hollywood Reporter reveals that series creator Chris Carter says Fox wants more episodes — it’s just a matter of when. Then Rolling Stone interviews star Gillian Anderson on her take on the future of ‘The X-Files’.
Then it’s time to discuss the episode, both on its own, as a companion to the premiere episode “My Struggle I” and as a finale to this season. If you have read the reaction online and in the press, you can imagine you are in for a lively discussion! Next we look at a little of the genetic science and the episode’s co-writers in the Spooky Drawer. We wind up with Chip donning his flameproof hazard suit as we get a ton of listener feedback!

You probably have heard this already but a day or two ago they announced THE X-FILES was back for another limited season of 10 eps.
Woo-hoo, just in case you didn’t know, which I am sure you did.
Confirmed Scully, Mulder with C. Carter at the helm. No word on Skinner or CSM or Lone Gunmen yet.
Looking at the production data and the new (2018) season – Ep#1 just finished filming. (!)
Skinner and CSM are in it and Cassandra Spender (Veronica Cartwright) returns as well. One other repeat is Reed/Mad Dog (Garry Chalk) from the 5th episode last year – ‘Babylon’. The one where Dana and Fox’s mini-Dana and mini-Fox were running the X-File Office and twisted-Doppelganging the characters from the early years.
