TWDTT 53 – S7E7 – Sing Me a Song Review

TWDTT 53 – S7E7 – Sing Me a Song Review

Sing Me a Song is the title of the next episode of The Walking Dead, also known as season 7 episode 7, and the penultimate for this year. It is also another way that Negan shows his prickishness because he makes Carl, our little serial killer in training, do just that. While the seemingly budding bromance between Carl and Negan was the main focus of this episode, we also checked in with Rick and Aaron, Spencer and Father Gabriel, Rosita and Eugene, and Michonne. It seems that our characters are going off in all different directions, both literally and figuratively while they all try to cope with their new Savior situation. Michonne and Rosita are both hell bent on getting themselves killed…er, I mean going after Negan. Read More…

TWDTT 52 – S7E6 – Swear Review

TWDTT 52 – S7E6 – Swear Review

Swear means we only have two more weeks of The Walking Dead this year, but it also means all Tara all the time. The sixth episode of season 7 caught us up on what happened to Tara and Heath after that fateful night at the Savior outpost. When they left, our gang still had no idea what was to come, but when Tara returned, she returned to a post-Negan world where everyone is a nail, and Lucille is the hammer. Fortunately, we didn’t have too much to be sad about this episode, except feeling sad for Tara when she feels sad. Otherwise, she was a much needed bright ray of sunshine. Read More…

TWDTT 51 – S7E5 – Go Getters Review

TWDTT 51 – S7E5 – Go Getters Review

What a difference a week makes! Go Getters, episode 5 of season 7 of The Walking Dead, was a welcome departure from the previous week, and we both liked it so much more than the one before. Brian had some weak sauce this week, but honestly, I was so happy to not see Negan again, I probably gave them a pass where I normally might not have. But that’s the way these things go sometimes. It was great to see Maggie again, and the path that she’s on with the Hilltop. Hopefully, Gregory will not be in charge for very long, although Xander Berkeley is quite divine. As Sonequa Martin-Green said on Talking Dead, Gregory cares more for his own safety than for the safety of others, and that is what makes him dangerous. How very right she is, and I think Jesus is starting to recognize this as well. Read More…

TWDTT 50 – S7E4 – “Service” Review

TWDTT 50 – S7E4 – “Service” Review

Episode 4 of season 7 of The Walking Dead, “Service” is all about Negan visiting Alexandria and taking their stuff, or as he says, providing “service.” More than that, though, it’s about making sure the Alexandrians understand their place in the grand Savior scheme of things. Negan wants to make sure they are demoralized and that they won’t ever try to fight back. I’m really hoping that fighting back happens very soon because I’m not sure how much more of this kicking them when they’re down I can take. Read More…

TWDTT 49 – S7E3 – The Cell Review

TWDTT 49 – S7E3 – The Cell Review

The third episode of season 7 takes us to the Sanctuary, as Negan’s home is called, and we learn a little bit more about Dwight. Meanwhile, the title of the episode, “The Cell” is where Daryl spends most of his time. Also, he’s naked. That’s right, Daryl was naked for part of this episode. So if you didn’t watch it, you missed out. Because it was sexy time. Okay, not really, it was a terrible kind of naked that wasn’t sexy at all, but rather, very, very sad. Daryl was brought to his lowest point in the series so far: no clothes and being fed dog food sandwiches. He even cried at the end, and our hearts broke as poor Daryl only had Dwight to comfort him. A masterful performance by Norman Reedus, this episode nevertheless left some of us wanting a little bit more. Read More…

TWDTT 48 – S7E2 – “The Well” Review

TWDTT 48 – S7E2 – “The Well” Review

“The Well” was definitely a different kind of episode than the season 7 premiere, and at least one of us really, really liked it. I won’t tell you who, you’ll just have to listen to see. Okay, twist my arm, it was me. This episode caught us up on what is happening with Morgan and our beloved Carol, as well as introduced us to a new community of people. During this episode we see an entirely new way of life in the zombie-pocalypse, one that seems a little hard for Carol to swallow. She thinks that The Kingdom is a joke and that “King Ezekiel” is, too. That is, until he lets her in on his little secret. By the end of the episode, I think Carol and I are in agreement. Ezekiel and Shiva aren’t so bad after all. Read More…

TWDTT 47 – S7E1 – “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be” Review

TWDTT 47 – S7E1 – “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be” Review

“The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be” are prophetic words spoken by Dr. Jenner way back in season 1 as Rick and the gang fled an about to explode CDC in Atlanta. Much like Rick, we didn’t ever think that those words would or could come back to haunt us. Now we know differently. Two of our beloved characters will no longer be a part of our show, but they will not be forgotten. Especially by the rest of the characters. In fact, this episode will most likely be the story that changed everything. Read More…

TWDTT 46 – S7E0 – Season 7 Preview

TWDTT 46 – S7E0 – Season 7 Preview

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Season 7 is upon us! Only a few days remain until we get to see who gets “Lucilled” and this makes us both excited and trepidatious, both eager and panicked, and both impatient and anxious, all at the same time! What a wide range of emotions we are all experiencing as we anticipate what will happen! I cannot use another exclamation point! Oops. But, we talked about a lot more than just who we think might get the bat. We talked about what we are most excited about, and what we are perhaps dreading a little bit. But one thing is for sure, Sunday cannot get here soon enough. Read More…

FTWDTT 21 – S2E14+15 – “Wrath; North” Feedback

FTWDTT 21 – S2E14+15 – “Wrath; North” Feedback

Hello folks, we are back with another episode that is all about YOU! You guys had a lot to say about “Wrath” and “North,” and so did we. But you can hear what we had to say in the previous episode. Thank you so much for joining in on the conversation, we really appreciate it when we get to hear from other people besides just the two of us (“we can make it if we try…”). I know I beg for it all the time, but we really love it when you all give us audio feedback!! A special thank you to Lara who did this time! Thank you thank you! Read More…

FTWDTT 20 – S2E14+15 – “Wrath; North” Review

FTWDTT 20 – S2E14+15 – “Wrath; North” Review

Well, the final two episodes of the second season of Fear the Walking Dead, “North” and “Wrath,” are here, and so is this episode…finally…! It has been a crazy week, but we aren’t even done! Stay tuned (so to speak) for our feedback episode which will be released later. But first, we talk about the craziness that is the penultimate episode and the still kinda craziness, but not quite as crazy that is the ultimate episode. We liked both episodes, but I think the consensus is that we liked the penultimate episode slightly better. However, there were good parts of both, and that is what we discussed! We also talked about a few things that disappointed us, as we do.
