Agents of SHIELD Season 5 Episode 16 Review: Inside Voices
“Inside Voices” really seemed to break up the team in Agents of SHIELD, and we’re really wondering how this might lead to further disaster. With Coulson out in the wilderness with Talbot, Simmons and others off in a quinjet, May and Daisy in Zephyr One, and Mack and Deke stuck at the Lighthouse, things couldn’t be more divided.
Join us for show news, commentary and analysis for “Inside Voices,” Faith’s CoulSass moments, and our listener feedback segment! This week we talk about Simmons’ controversial choice to trick Mack, Fitz’s emotional reaction to her experiment, Robin’s reaction at seeing May again, Hale’s motivation for having Creel touch the gravitonium, Ruby’s rebellious streak that seems to have gotten the better of her, and much more!

I think Alex likes Ruby, but I don’t know how much Ruby likes him in turn; it feels she could be playing him some.
I don’t think Elena and Jemma have an issue with Daisy in charge as a concept it’s just the choices she’s made and how they feel they can push her around, Simmons especially may feel this way because of their friendship and they’re basically taking advantage of Daisy for what? Ego basically which you can get with Elena as she’s been rogue before but Jemma’s ego isn’t normally like that even when she’s in dark frames of mind.
It think Jemma has gone off the deep end the most regarding invincibility which is surprising because as a scientist if she thinks A can be true then so can B if you’re trying to change the results; Fitz I think is open to the possibly but not sold and Elena is actually maybe rethinking it some after the gun went off but not enough to stop what she’s doing.
Regarding the experiment, the more I think about it the more I feel Jemma and Elena had to rig it somehow because why else would Elena push Mack into the cell so fast? She had to know he wasn’t needed because it was fake because if she did it thinking it was real then that’s just dumb also. I agree with Dave, a real show or the concept would have been drinking the acid straight out.
“Should they cut Daisy some slack?” – yes!
I vote for “Sorry” in the CoulSass poll!
Ohh good point Taltos about how the gravitonium could lead to multiple personalities!
Ha to “evil casual” by Faith! Ruby is definitely enhanced in some form because they mentioned she was breed instead of gifted; as for her holding her own in the fight she should as she’s engineered. I’m personally more surprised Carl’s material stopped the chakra than I am Ruby hung with him.
